Now that you have one side finished, turn over and repeat… Fold the top over 1/4 – 1/2″ and then again so that the folded edge meets your notch. Make sure your 2 folded edges line up (above image).

The material is called Chirimen, a special crepe a little heavier than normal fabric used in making Kimono.
A simpática dona da Broomfields explicou-me que o interesse pelo bordado está a "renascer" na Nova Zelândia e que também está a começar a ser transmitido às crianças. Disse que tem dificuldade em encontrar "Kits" (oficinas...) para crianças ou principiantes e que ficou encantada com as nossas!!!

I wish I had finished knitting the sweaters that will go in these bags, but I didn't. At least my halls are throughly decked.
