Belfast Republican Bobby Storey leads the draping the coffin of Peggy McGuinness (Mother of Deputy First Minister Martin mc Guinness) with the tricolour after requiem mass in Derry's Long Tower Church. The flag had been removed before entering the chapel.
Retired Bishop of Derry Edward Daly looks on - Bishop Daly is known all over the world as the young priest who waved a white hanky on Bloody Sunday, as one of the victims of the shooting was carried past lines of soldiers. That image makes up one of the Bogside artists murals on Rossville Street beside Free Derry Corner.
Spanish Moss in the wild appears different somehow. Perhaps it is in a more protected environment. Perhaps it just looks that way to me. Either way, I love it.

BEHIND THE DRAPES
~Roz Levine~
Every Saturday night
As a middle school kid
I tucked my ugly self
Between two layers
Of living room drapes
Peeked from the window
Watched romance unfold
As beautiful Rosalie
With her beautiful blonde hair
Placed her arms around the neck
Of her beautiful blonde boyfriend
They pressed one beautiful body
Against the perfect symmetry
Of another beautiful body
Kissed and kissed and kissed
While I stared from behind drapes
Wondered if anyone, anywhere
Would love me like that.

Transmission lines captured as they cross over Mexican Federal Highway (Carretera Federal) 15 east of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
The camera telephoto lens compression distortion accentuates the draping arcs of the lines.
In Sonora, Federal Highway 15 follows part of an historic corridor linking the central Mexican highlands around Mexico City up the Pacific coast and on into Arizona and points north. Other than silver, an initial attraction of the Sonora region for the Spaniards was its fertile farmlands along the river valleys.

There's always a little bit of me in each space I create. This room has my favorite thing in all of SL in it, can you tell what it is?

Winter arrived in late September in the badlands of southern Alberta. The grasses in this cottonwood grove were flattened by an early heavy snow. Later that snow melted, leaves the grass draped over the willows and underbrush. Snow came and went a couple more times before I shot this in late October.
I'm still obsessed with all of that ice, those glistening daggers of white created by the wintry fury of Mother Nature.

Just waiting for Jan, hanging out in a car park down by the harbour when this happened.
Honestly, damned if I know. The rainbow thing is about 1m tall, if that helps.
A lightly frosted old heather bud was draped beautifully in a spider's web showing pearl-like dew drops against the light.

Just one of those quite moments walking through the park...snow has begun to fall, the sun is beginning to rise, absolute quiet surrounds everything and the soft crunch of last nights snow underfoot....
still loving this dress and just can't face putting it into storage just yet. might have to leave it until the spring just in case we get a little snow because I think with the right lighting and location I could get some nice photos and I do know someone with a husky.
