What is impossible to see in this image is the rain. Anyone who's photographed these rainforests on a cold, wet fall day knows firsthand how bone-chilling the experience may be. In fact, the coldest I've felt in my life has been while shooting on rainy fall days. It has a way of creeping deep into your bones and warming up takes a long time once inside and dry.
Even though they are very pretty, they scare me a lot because I am highly allergic to it. Without complete covering medication, I do not dare out the door.

By the time I made it to the woods most of the mist had gone, but there was still just enough to diffuse the strong midday sunlight which brought the orange bracken back to life
On a recent trip to Nashville, TN, we got breakfast every morning at The Ugly Bagel, nestled in this arcade-style building downtown. Built in 1902, it’s a recently restored historic landmark—but the office space and store fronts are still kinda empty overall.
Upstairs was a closed restaurant that reminded me of when children’s book star Amelia Bedelia was asked to draw the drapes by her employer and she sat down and made a drawing of the drapes. I can’t draw to save my life, so I took a photo instead.
The tasty bagels live up to their moniker, by the way.
No opportunities to go to the hills over the next few months, but here's one of the many from last year which I haven't shared here yet..
A view out my window of this ornamental evergreen, not sure what it is called but I love the droopy branches, here draped with snow.
I draped a terry cloth towel over a lamp and used a Canon 50mm FD macro lens on a stack of extension tubes to take this picture.
Thanks to everyone that stopped to look fave and comment. HMM!!!
More draped snow from our last storm, somehow holding on like this for days. Now, after our Christmas warmth and rain, there's no snow left.
Always stunning, but especially so today after all the rain we've had recently. Spanish moss and air ferns draping 350 year old Live Oak Trees.
SO much "fancy" stuff in Las Vegas! This is a crystal curtain in part of the Cosmopolitan Hotel. We passed right by it while riding one of the escalators. Thank God for escalators! :)

I'm wild about prints and patterns! I don't think there are enough of them out here on the grid. Luckily I have tons to choose from thanks to Hucci!
The Kenchi Romper comes in 18 prints/patterns and 12 solid textures. You can find it at Kustom 9.
Finally got around to trying the newer Zoe Bento Mesh Head by Vista. Although shaping her to my liking was a little tougher than I'm used to, I find her to be very pretty, especially in the new Victoria skin by EGOZY made especially for this head.
Victoria comes in 7 tones (Porcelain to Canelle) each with 4 brow options including no brows. She's available for purchase at EGOZY's mainstore or marketplace.
