I went over to Akaroa for my Covid lock down. I was already packed up to go over when our level changed from level 2 straight to level 4. I spent the five weeks there without any other contact with the outside world apart from phone calls. It was a bit lonely on my own but I had the birds bees to keep me company.

A dramatic sunset captured at the beach of "Torre Mozza" in tuscany.
After a busy beach day as everyone finally left the beach I enjoyed this beautiful and colorful sunset.
A rather straightforward image of the beautiful castle De Haar near Utrecht. I used 3 exposures for the dramatic touch: 2,5 sec for the smooth water; 1,3 sec for the castle and 0,3 sec for a dramatic sky. Blending them together in Photoshop. Job done.

The snow has ceased and the sun is working it's life giving miracles...
I give thanks every morning to wake up to such incredible beauty.
The only tracks in the snow this morning were mine and a couple of mule deer trying to stay warm.
Starting on the slopes as we start the final climb to the summit of Cairn Gorm we look back across the Cairngorm plateau. The coire's (cliffs) we have been following on the right, slope down left, with the UK 2nd highest summit of Ben MacDui in the distance, while above the blue waters of Loch Etchachan is Derry Cairngorm. On the far left, the rocky tors of Beinn Mheadhoin stand out against the blue sky.
Cairn Gorm, the mountain from which the Cairngorm mountain range gets its name, stands at 1245 meters (4085 feet) and is my 4th Munro of the season, my 27th in total. The hike (no bike this time) sees me covering a circuit of just over 7 miles and making an elevation gain of around 762 meters (2500 feet).
This was another photo with dull colour but interesting clouds, so used mono on this one and was pleased with the result.
These lovely flowers are growing in a neighbor's yard in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. Taken with my iPhone 14 Pro Max set to raw and macro.

The amazing and often dramatic view of Bedruthan from Carnewas. Walking to Bedruthan steps to capture the sunset, I had to capture this amazing view of the beautiful North Cornwall Coastline. Carnewas at Bedruthan has a strong mining history as the area was a hive of industrial activity in the 19th century. While mining has long since stopped here, the buildings still stand as a reminder of this local history. Bedruthan had a very different reputation as a holiday resort in the Victorian era. There's also a mysterious legend around the Bedruthan Giant and the sea stacks at Bedruthan.
The cloud cover was so dramatic last evening,I started off with a sunset in mind and was delighted to find spectacular cloud cover instead.
