Storms Across America - Minnesota: Day 4/7
This is the shelf cloud, as I described it yesterday. Very dramatic with excellent structure. This may go down as the best structured shelf cloud I've ever seen.
We're sitting immediately South of Fergus Falls, looking southward as it surged quickly eastward and towards us.

First time I photograph a toy RCMP/GRC car. Practicing dramatic lighting on ths police car. RPC meeting workshop, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. 1 November 2022
Took this one in the early morning light using the flash on my phone as a back light. I was using my kit lens but mounted backward with an adapter. Had no idea there was so much interesting texture on the inside of a snail shell.

God can only put us on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in our own hands. Where is it man ? I can't see..?? : For More fb.com/kumarsedit
I took this picture in 2013 in the World Financial Center of Shanghai. This picture provides me with a strange feeling of powerness.
At this time I was still shooting with a hybrid camera (Sony Nex), that's how I started to be passionate about photography. I now have a Nikon D5300 and I'm trying to improve myself by finding some inspirational pictures on FlickR.
Photo taken of Boscombe Pier a few weeks ago during the storms we had at that time. I was holding onto the wall in front of me at the time as the winds were so strong. Thankfully with Spring now here the weather is getting gradually better
Moody weather brings out the dramatic textures of the cliffs surrounding Naeroyfjord as seen from Aurland. The Norwegian fjord is a World Heritage site and was rated by the National Geographic Society as the world's number one natural heritage site.

Taken a couple of weeks back I had been meaning to visit this location on a nice evening. I had first checked out this location about a year and half back in the pouring rain but on this evening it was a much more pleasant view. The weather on this day had been pretty changeable so I was hoping for some dramatic clouds which I seem to have gotten but the real surprise was finding this field of crops had the odd poppy sticking up. I hunted around the field for the best poppy and in the end got this one that was nicely placed between the gap in the trees at the bottom of the hill. I then took a few shots of this composition, experimenting with how good the crops looked after a gust of wind but in the end this more static shot appealed to me the most.
Anyway enjoy!

Another 3 shot HDR as usual for me. An easy 10 minute hike from the road.

Fynn's lovely green eyes never look better than when they are highlighted by the sun. I took this capture a few days ago when Fynn was sitting on the decking and watching some birds on the bird feeder in the garden. He can sit like this for an eternity without even winking.

BW-version of the same cliff as my yesterdays photo.
The ocean, weather and wind has formed this beautiful landscape for thousands of years.
Just as the sun peaks over the horizon, it is hidden by the cluds and the Sunnmøre Alps, creating this beautiful display of light.
Looking back through my archives, I found this shot of Durdle Door, Dorset. The original image looked a bit flat and uninteresting so I've tried a little HDR to make it more interesting, it was quite an overcast day and I feel the sky needed a bit more life to it, here it looks more dramatic than the original raw file.
Thank you for looking and for any comments you may leave.
We are having a long weekend of Moon Festival. The visibility of Taipei was stunning 50 kilometers this morning. I decided to shoot Taipei 101 sunset though the visibility drop down to 30 kilometers in the afternoon. Still got a dramatic sky with Taipei 101.
今天早上台北的能見度,令人驚喜地,出現「50公里」這樣的數字,是我拍照四年來首見的好,可惜到了下午,只剩下30公里,還是衝去拇指山,拍到美麗的霞光流雲101。

These delicate little Odes have been emerging in pretty good numbers over the past few days, but getting a shot that I liked has been challenging. They have generally been out in the flooded fields here, hanging low in the sedges and remaining just out of reach and/or good light. After three days of prowling the edges of the seasonal marshes I finally found a few that were perched out over dry land.
The males of the species undergo dramatic color changes from teneral to adult, and if you look closely you can see the beginnings of the dark wing bands that will eventually be his trademark when maturity is reached.
