Another shot from Saturday. Yes, I hydrated the color for a dramatic affect! Even tho it looked ominous, we stayed dry!
A HDR shot of the Rhine bank in Basel with all the pretty colored houses, in backlight and in a dramatic mood, to make it quite special.
If you walk from Fira to Oia, there's a big volcanic rock outcrop with many stairs leading down to it, and a tiny chapel along the way. It's a humble building with nothing around it but spectacular views.
Addendum: this is in a book produced by Sophie Addison, who is working to help cure MS. You can check out a sample of the book here and even buy one (yay), and see more of the images in the book on her stream. Note that the images were cropped closer to square, and I''m pretty picky about composition, but I think she retained the essential feeling of the shot.

More than 80 Western movies have used this set. During Covid the tours stopped and the owners went bankrupt but a local ranching family saved the whole town set from demolition and movies are once again being filmed there along with tours and special events.

I took photos of this side of the chateau twice. Once in the morning when the clouds were heavy, and once again in the afternoon when the clouds parted. I ended up liking this cloudy one better. There was a bit of a natural vignette, but I decided to enhance that a bit in the post processing.

Maxing out at a height of a little over 400 feet, this majestic gem feeds Banks Lake with the mysterious beauty of Steamboat Rock nearby.
