"We want to be free... Free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man!" It started out with old classics and lowriders and Harleys converging on the bridge and a car show broke out. Then some knuckle head brought unnecessary attention to the whole thing by lighting a smoke canister / bomb. From the distance I guess it looked as if some one was doing a burn out. The L.A.P.D. comes and breaks up the show. But as the photos prove the SHOW still went on.... UNDER THE BRIDGE.
These were once pristine waters, sweet
Where sixpenny-scaled roach flashed
And whiskered gudgeon winked bronze
At the child-fisher's muddy feet
Where days grew old slowly
Young life a contribution
Each day, Sabbath, holy
Each dawn a new solution
At least in summer hols
That severance from school
And sarcastic teacher-trolls
Daft rules, for every fool
As if we lacked the wit
Or common sense to make
Decisions, to press or quit
The relentless grindstone
To our souls, our mettle
Demanding, “are you fit
To grasp life's nettle
Gather thorns for flesh
And like shoaled fish, settle
For adulthood's spreading mesh?”

Apologies to any teachers seeing this, it's not a criticism of PRESENT teachers, rather of some of the bullies and dragons I suffered under, many years ago.

Edmund Lincoln "Eddie" Anderson (1905 – 1977), aka Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, was a Black American comedian and actor.

His home in the West Adams district of Los Angeles was one of the few places in L.A. where he could have a home built because even L. A. black entertainers were not welcome in white neighborhoods due to restrictive covenants. He called on Black American architect, Paul R. Williams to designed his new massive home that sat in an area surrounded by smaller, bungalow-style homes. He also had a pool so the neighbors and their kids could play and swim in the pool. The home is currently a Bed & Breakfast.
Demolition after Implosion to weaken the structure for final tear down. If you gotta see your ponies race you still have Del Mar and Santa Anita race tracks to go see them run. Now that this demolition is taking place people are hopeful that we'll get a NFL team coming back to the L. A. area. Hmmm foot ball, golf, tennis, baseball.... sorry I rather watch grass grow, what we need is a drag strip, a motocross park, monster truck stadium a low rider park and show car arena all rolled into one.

Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

The devil fish or giant devil ray (Mobula mobular) is a species of eagle ray, family Myliobatidae. They are most common in the Mediterranean Sea and can be found elsewhere in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean, off the southwest coast of Ireland and south of Portugal.
It is larger than the lesser devil ray, growing to a maximum length of 520 centimetres (200 in), and it possesses a spiny tail. The species feeds on crustaceans and small schools of fish.
The devil fish has a limited range and a low rate of reproduction. As a result it is sensitive to environmental changes. The main threats to this species come from pollution in the Mediterranean and accidental, unintended capture in various fishing equipment including trawls, tuna traps, and dragnets meant for swordfish, none of which are intended to ensnare Giant Rays. The 2004 IUCN Red List listed the devil fish as a vulnerable species, but in 2006 it was reclassified as an endangered species.
The Devil Ray is known mainly for living in areas such as Algeria, Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Spain, and Tunisia, which are its native habitat. It’s known mainly for living in warmer waters and the Mediterranean Sea provides such an environment.
The Devil Ray has no definite role in the environment. The closest role that a Devil ray has is eating planktonic crustaceans and small schooling fishes. In its entirety, the Devil Ray acts similar to other species of its kind. According to some sources Devil Rays are flavorsome although, due to their sparse population, Devil Rays cannot be sold for commercial use.
The population of the Devil Ray is unknown, although it is known to be decreasing. They can be found mainly in the Mediterranean Sea. The reason why the population of the Devil Ray is decreasing is due to the accidental takes in swordfish pelagic driftnets’. They also are accidentally caught by fisherman. Fishermen accidentally catch the Devil Ray, and as a result the population is consistently decreasing.
In order to conserve the Devil Ray, awareness of the harm fisherman cause towards Devil Ray needs to rise. Many state legislatives and governments are becoming more aware of this issue and are trying to bring awareness to the public in order to protect the Devil Ray from complete extinction.

Nome: Manta-diabo
Nome Científico: Mobula mobular (Bonnaterre, 1788)
Família: Mobulidae
Grupo: Tubarões, raias e quimeras
Classe: Peixes
Tamanho: 201-400 cm.
