I tried and failed at sacred harp shape note singing... so I took up film photography instead.

Dr Automobiles sells a couple of Chinese models in Italy. In the past models, including the Dr1 (Chery/Riich M1), Dr2 (Chery A1) and Dr5 (Chery Tiggo) were rather successful until around 2010. Dr assembled bodies and engines that came from Chery in China. When Dr CEO Massimo Di Risio took over the Termini Imerse plant from Fiat, which turned out to be a huge failure, things went downhill and sales collapsed. The lineup currently consists of the Dr Zero (based on the second generation Chery QQ), Dr 3 (based on the Chery Tiggo 3x), Dr 4 (based on the JAC Refine S3), Dr Evo 5 (based on the good old Chery Tiggo 3) and Dr 6 (based on the Chery Tiggo 5/Cowin X5).

After my first trip to Hocking Hills last April, there have been an additional 4 trips made, and it's all due to the scenery!
Continuing in trail order moving upstream, what you're seeing now are the Middle Falls on the Hocking Hills Old Man's Cave trail. While the smallest and easiest to walk though falls of the trail, Middle Falls were my favorite because I knew when framing up the shot that the softly back-lit early morning light was going to produce some silvery water and rocks.
This image was not made as the same trip to Lower Falls, so no DR5 Chrome version of this one. :(

This image was made in a small shanty town in the out skirts of Juarez, Mexico. These boys were part of a very large group of trouble making kids. The kid on the far right is covering his face, so as to not be seen, was the leader of the group. This was a candid group portrait that was not staged or set up in any way...I narrowly escaped without getting hurt or having my camera broken or stolen! A few minutes after this photo was taken I was picked up by the police and ejected from Mexico, allegedly for photographing children and aspects of their town that they did not want shown...Shady!
This image was made hand held using a Hasselblad 501cm with a Zeiss Planar 80mm lens. It was recorded on Kodak Technical Pan film @ iso25. Processed dr5 in Developer 2(sepia).
Trees from a series of day drives with my large format camera. A small area along the Paluxy River on a cloudy day. The greens of late spring translated well into monochrome.

This was my last public outing before the Pandemic really kicked in. The event was held in the first week of March and commemorates the start of the Florida cattle drive when beef cattle were herded to the deep water port where they were loaded and shipped for slaughter in Cuba. To this day the cattle drive is commemorated by the remaining cattlemen who make a two week journey from Fort Pierce to Bradenton on what is called the "Cracker Trail".
Back in 1996 I worked on a roundabout design for Fort Pierce which was originally designed to have an equestrian statue in the center commemorating the contribution of the Florida Crackers and their contribution to the States history. The statue was never erected.

A lonely desert road at the end of the day. Aside from snuffing out burn in the small yellowy center with an alternate exposure, this is pretty much what the camera with a GND delivered. It was a spectacular afternoon in the western Mojave.
Amtrak's northbound Cardinal gets out of Dyer, Indiana on a fine July 18, 2022, morning. Note the addition of the Sightseer Lounge car. A most welcome addition in the New River Gorge of West Virginia! However, getting from the sleeper to the lounge must be dangerous and challenging.
A rebadged Cherry Tiggo for the Italian market, this one still has its Italian plates. A few Chery cars were sold in Italy under the DR badge, I saw a few in Rome a few years ago

i invite you to try this film once. the results viewed live are incredible.

Seen here are the Lower Falls, at the opposite end of the Old Man's Cave Upper Falls. This trail is a joy to hike on, especially early morning, when it's just you, the meandering stream, and nature! At the same time this was taken, there was also a frame captured to be converted to DR5 Chrome. In the end, the chromes look 10x as amazing as the B&W negative!
