I love the 6x17 format, it is so easy to get lost in. It is not always easy to find but once you do...
There are few places in the world I have explored that are better suited for the breadth of vision one gets in a 6x17 pano than the Canadian Rockies. Every time I go up there with this camera it feels like a perfect match.
This image, by the way, was made with Rollei RPX 25 then sent off to DR5 for their positive process. Yes, this is a b&w 6x17cm slide. It is so gorgeous sitting on a light table...almost as gorgeous as the actual scene was, but not quite. As close as a photographer could hope to get, I suppose.

This was my last public outing before the Pandemic really kicked in. The event was held in the first week of March and commemorates the start of the Florida cattle drive when beef cattle were herded to the deep water port where they were loaded and shipped for slaughter in Cuba. To this day the cattle drive is commemorated by the remaining cattlemen who make a two week journey from Fort Pierce to Bradenton on what is called the "Cracker Trail".
Back in 1996 I worked on a roundabout design for Fort Pierce which was originally designed to have an equestrian statue in the center commemorating the contribution of the Florida Crackers and their contribution to the States history. The statue was never erected.

Taken with a Nikon F100 loaded with Scala 160 and a Tamron 150-600mm lens. Processed by DR5 in Iowa. Damn that lens is a dog (autofocus is slow).

This image was made just off of Interstate10, in the Cabazon-Palm Springs area of california(near all the windmills). I shot this image in the summer of 2004. I shot this with a Bronica ETRsi. I used Kodak TechnicalPan film @ iso25, processed dr5 in developer2. I used a tripod for this shot.
El Capitan, the dramatic end of the Guadalupe Mountains in west Texas. From above it looks like the prow of a ship sailing across the desert. A favorite location and subject for me.
This is a large format film shot I did on my Arca-Swiss 4x5 camera with a Nikon 210mm lens (normal view about a 55mm in full frame digital terms). The sheet film was Efke 25 which is a B+W negative film that I had processed by DR5 Chrome into a positive. Yes, a black and white positive. Love looking at these on the light table. Scanned on my Epson 4990 flatbed scanner.
