Luis Aviles whips a throw to first to complete the double play in the 4th inning of tonight's game against the Grand Junction Rockies.
This is the double board - just completed. It was originally designed for an art project called "double rainbow" that may someday be installed at a mall in Montréal or at Burning Man. For now, I'm doing a smaller project using some of the same hardware - see my blog for where you can see it in the coming weeks.
KCS ES44AC #4777 leads CP 380 into Adeline on the D&I. As evident by the bridge foundations in the foreground, this line was double-track during the days of joint UP-MILW passenger traffic and even had CTC up until the late 1960s. Before EHH, CP even had a plan to reestablish all of the above, but was annulled after the railroad started to tear itself to pieces.
Taken from my apartment in Boston with 50mm F/1.4 and stacked from 315 frames (31.5 minutes of total exposure) with 20 dark and 100 bias frames. The photos were taken intentionally slightly out of focus to show colors better.
We had a shower yesterday and not long after I noticed this double full over rainbow. It was probably the most vivid and bright rainbow I have ever seen. I have seen full over rainbows before but not as good as this one nor a double.
My new guitar I just got today, it's an Epiphone SG though. Still cost a pretty penny in my opinion.

Mark took this photo of me and Karen, but, silly me, I forgot to advance the film, and shot another photo on top of us. I am kind of mad at myself for sorta ruining what could have otherwise been a good photo.
A double magnum (3 Liters) of Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon and a Waterford wine glass. Lit using a double diffused SB-600; shot through a umbrella and then shaped with a PVC frame of rip stop nylon. Flash was placed to camera left and triggered by on camera flash in commander mode.
Stunt double rehearsing a scene from the Wachowski siblings movie Jupiter Ascending. Between Wacker and South Water Street on Michigan Avenue. I assume he is the stunt double for Channing Tatum.

Outside "Chipmunk's", a nice little hot dog etc. joint near Lincoln Park Zoo--I couldn't very well take a couple of four-year-old boys to the zoo in Chicago without filling them up on hot dogs (though they don't yet understand the importance of having their dog with sport peppers, pickles, tomato, celery salt, mustard, and neon relish--they prefer ketchup).
(Not an accident - done on purpose. My Pentax at that time would allow me to do that.) Rides at the Spring Fair in Sevilla. April 1967.
