Double Rainbow, from our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. You can actually see the end of it (not much there :-)).
I wish I could have a twin sister. Would be so cool!
As you can see, I was still wearing my pajamas!
A bit of experimentation today. I wanted a different take on this classic Brooklyn Bridge shot and tried a double exposure. This image was inspired by the photography of Dag Alveng. A special thanks to Jeff Mason who always gets me up and out early in the morning for a great day of photography.
I now have two Vela's! Imagine that. :) The lovely lady on the left is the original Cheshire Cat set, and I am just so incredibly happy that I had the opportunity to purchase her. I didn't think I would ever see that set for sale again. But now she's mine, and I've got double trouble on my hands. :)

combined two selfies. One taken with the front facing camera and a mirror the other taken with the back facing camera. That is a whole new level of vanity.
One of my favourite rock formations at Arches. Nice and big that you can wander in and around to appreciate its size and shape (there is a person sitting under the innermost arch)
NOTE: If you reblog my photos to places like Tumblr, my tolerance will stretch only to cases where my flickr username is shown and a link is present.
My teenage-gymanstic-model-on-duty doing another one of her inverted flips. And her double accross the mirror doing one as well... :-)

Wheels: Velo Orange (VO) PBP Shimano 105 Hubs
Tires: Grand Bois Cypress 700x30
Casette: Shimano Ultegra 12-28 10speed
Crankset: Shimano 105 Triple
Bottom Bracket: Shimano Ultegra
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Ultegra GS 10speed
Front Derailleur: Shomano Ultegra
Shifters: Shimano Dura-Ace Bar Ends 10speed SL-BS79
Brakes: Levers Tektro FL 730, Front Brake Tektro Caliper 538, Rear Brake Shimano Cantilever BR-R550 (which DO in fact work with linear pull levers!)
Cables: VO Braided
Headset: Grand Cru from Veloorange.com
Stem: VO 100mm 17deg. rise
Bars: Nitto Albatros
Grips: Rivendell Cork that we twined and shellaced with Bullseye Amber Shellac
Seatpost: VO Grand Cru setback seatpost
Saddle: Brooks B17 Special Honey
Bottle Cages: VO Modernista
Fenders: VO 45mm hammered polished fenders
We started with the bare frame, and it went together fairly seamlessly. The trickiest part was installing the fenders, but even that wasn’t too bad. Rides like a dream. Smooth, relaxed, but handles very well and is actually quite fast. The drivetrain all works flawlessly, and the bar ends are actually quite nice after using STI’s for so long. Absolutely love the Nitto Albatross bars. And these tires are incredible, the smoothest fastest rolling tires I’ve used to date! My dad chose every single part, so it is truly HIS bike!
Scientific name: Taeniopygia bichenovii
Family: Passeridae
Order: Passeriformes
Description
The Double-barred Finch is one of the long-tailed grass-finches and is notable for its 'owl-faced' features, having a white face bordered black. It is grey-brown, with white underparts banded black above and below the chest, giving the species its name. The wings are black, spotted white, the tail is black and the bill and legs are blueish-grey. Juveniles are dulller, with indistinct chest bars. These grass-finches usually feed in flocks and have a bouncing, undulating flight pattern.
