This was my doodle 4 google entry! I won the best in the whole school, but I wasn't a finalist or anything. Which is sort of annoying cause I really wanted a laptop.

But anyway, here it is now!

It's finally a nice day! It's freezing cold but nice and sunny :D

My uncle was a brilliant artist, but it was really unfair because he never won any competitions because they all thought he traced the pictures :(

Although the bird on the left captures immediate attention, by far, my favorite piece on this page, and quite possibly this entire 8 page collection, is The Lumberjack.

The Lumberjack was done on a Post-It note with Pilot .5 gel pens in black and red. In this image, he is chopping down a music tree yelling, "timbre!" as notes drift down.

This concept of an image is one I plan to embellish as its own illustration.

This is the 5th piece I've done after viewing the DOODLES UNLEASED videos at Strathmoreartiststudio.com Actually, I think people have to first sign up to receive the newsletter from Strathmore papers. i don't remember how I first came to know about the newsletter, but when it came the end of December, I decided to sign up for their 4 weeks of lessons, which started January 1st, 2012. This piece is on watercolor paper in 8X10" size. Silly, fun, great to do something that has to please no one else except myself, and the pleasure is in the doing.

Some advice to myself from a number of years ago. Seems pretty timely now, as it was then. Very busy doodle page.

I went looking for a particular sketch in my piles of sketchbooks and found a few others instead.

Number 64 in "100 Pictures " 2014 : 'Dots''. It's a DDDD (Denouement Deficiency Disorder Doodle), done with pens and markers on a little A6 pad with shiny paper.
