Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!

I just like the title .... ( i have been blessed with a lifelong partner)

I took this in the same garden as the image I posted yesterday.

This is a pool in the garden with a fountain in the middle. I wanted to show the curves around the outside of the pool that appealed to me so much, but didn't want any detail. So I put on my Oreston 50mm at f1.8 and got the very shallow DoF I wanted, and embraced the blur of the curves.

My entry for Crazy Tuesday theme = Shallow DOF

Playing with DOF, angle and perpective to get this visual effect of crooked basket !

No editing or processing.

A tropical country

"Everyday you play with the light of the universe."

~Pablo Neruda

A juvenile, possibly a female, not red-winged and not black, picking worms from decaying lotus pods. Although the DoF is ample for the bird, it's clearly seen in the second pod and certainly in the blooming lotus in the background. In 40-acre lake, Brazos Bend State Park, Needville, Texas. Happy Crazy Tuesday!

Found out the bleeding heart plant that was sitting on the back porch thinks it's spring. So had to take a couple of photos :)

I really hope it's right, they are talking snow and ice again for tomorrow.
