NBSR 6315, still in its red color scheme, is in charge of NBSR train 907, as they're about to head down the small dip at Cork, New Brunswick. The 600mm lens adds to the apparent steepness of the dip. It's not as big as it appears to be.

Young bucks would look to this big bruiser with envy - what else in the world would he possibly want? He's got ten does to tend here, which in one sense might be wonderful but I can't imagine it's easy trying to keep everybody happy.

Revisando fotos de viajes pasados en estos momentos de confinamiento domiciliario, no puedo dejar de volver una y otra vez al viaje a Azores de abril de 2019.
Todavía me sorprendo aprendiendo cosas de aquellos días, repasando esa maravillosa combinación de soledad y belleza natural.
A Lagoa do Fogo llegué un mal día climatológicamente hablando. No paraba de llover, y salir a hacer las pocas fotos que hice desde el mirador supuso terminar completamente empapado. Pero recuerdo como me quedé sin palabras y sin aliento cuando salí del coche y contemplé este paisaje del que os hago ahora partícipes.
La excursión de esa mañana se había alargado, también por la lluvia, y a este mirador llegué algo más tarde de lo previsto, por lo que aquel día la comida fue más bien comida-merienda.
Cuando me bajé del coche, un grupo de amigos, también españoles, me facilitaron la labor de retratarme con esta maravilla de fondo. Y me sacaron alguna que otra carcajada con sus chistes malos sobre la lluvia que nos mojaba. Más tarde, por la noche, recuerdo que se desató una terrible tormenta que amenazaba con destruir las paredes de mi alojamiento. Pero, como siempre, la tormenta pasó y no fue para tanto.

Aerial daredevil Sean D. Tucker performs as part of Team Oracle during a 2018 airshow in Ypsilanti, Michigan. As I recall, this stunt involved a ribbon that was held between the two banners, which Tucker then broke with his low-flying biplane. If you look closely, you can see the red ribbon caught and trailing behind the top left wing.

After delivering the empties, BLE 866 and company double up a loaded train under the NYC at Conneaut.
According to the referenced wheel, complimentary blue-violet(-ish) v. orange-yellow and complimentary dark-red-light-green are paired here. But I think the purple & gold are also complementary.
The two blocks of subtly varying color against a harmonic background remind me of Rothko.
