>>This is one of my "most time spent" capture. I spent more that 45 mins to get this shot. I had this concept in mind and wanted the wave to just wash half of the heart so as get this "?" feel. But those waves really tortured me. They were toooo fast. I say too too fast.

By the time i write this on sand, come back and focus my camera - everything was done, a wave used to already wash the entire thing. This went on for some 10 to 15 times. I was getting frustrated... then... a great idea stuck my damaged brain :) I started writing this backwards (right to left) so as to avoid the time to come back. Intelligent me, but this too dint work. Then i started holding my camera with my right hand and was writing this on sand backwards with my left hand :O Yes, its weird but thats what i did and i was (fairly) successful :D this again went for some 10-15 times before finally i got this one - water exactly into the middle of the heart : ) well its not exactly the middle but by this time my legs were horribly paining :D

Originally in b&w, print scan, full frame, only pp: a little bit of contrast, midtones slight push and a sharpness titbit... afterall a print - from 1998 - scan needs some upgrade lol resisted to heavy contrast it and to blow out the sky... so no detail loss even on hidden areas...

Porta do Mar - Sea Gate - was the south entrance for Expo 98 site - expo theme was the oceans. Projected by architects Manuel Graça Dias and Egas José Vieira, was partially demolished after the Expo... if you're an architecture fan you should visit their atelier homepage with some of the most interesting building projects of portuguese modern architecture - - contemporanea.lda.pt/

Quando vi as Cataratas do Iguaçu senti uma das maiores emoções da minha vida. Elas nos proporcionam um êxtase inexplicável, o coração acelera, as pernas tremem, os olhos enchem de lágrimas diante daquele poder magnífico. Ali vemos a face de Deus. É maravilhoso!! Nenhum ser humano, por maior inteligência que possua, poderá descrevê-la com exatidão. Posso dizer eu vi Deus, e o agradeci por poder senti-lo tão próximo. Conheci a perfeição Divina.

This is a re-do of a shot I posted five years ago. In the original image, the surface on which the bowl was resting was cluttered, and I did a very amateurish job of trying to clone away the clutter. This time I took the easy way out: I photographed a nice new surface and slid the bowl and Angelita through Photoshop Elements and over on to the new surface.

Incluem estrelas-do-mar e ofiúros (classe Stelleroidea), ouriços-do-mar e bolachas-da-praia (Echinoidea), crinóides (Crinoidea) e holotúrias (Holothuroidea). Nenhum é parasita ou colonial, todos são animais grandes, marinhos; vivem permanentemente presos ao fundo oceânico ou se movem lentamente sobre o substrato. Nos adultos há simetria radial.

O ouriço-do-mar tem corpo arredondado, coberto por espinhos móveis. A boca, grande, fica na superfície oral (posição "ventral" quando o animal está apoiado). Vive em rochas, no lodo e no fundo do mar. Locomove-se por uso simultâneo dos espinhos e pés ambulacrários.
