What do you mean? Of course I pinhole weddings. Why not? :-) It isn't always an easy thing to do though. Many weddings are held indoors, making for some overly long exposures. Then there is the whole notion that pinhole photography is pretty experimental, meaning many of those exposures don't turn out as well as I might hope - not necessarily a good combination when operating under the pressure of needing to document someone's wedding as best you can. But then again, there is a beautiful elegance in being able to set the pinhole up on its tripod, open the shutter for the 2 minute exposure, step back and enjoy the moment while the camera quietly does its thing.
P.S. I really like how still everyone is in this image despite how long an exposure it was.
Que você possa percorrer
todas as estações e viver,
a cada parada,
a emoção de um adeus,
de um beijo
ou de uma saudade ...

Curler caps , bonnets etc in the 60s and 70s were intended to both look nice as well as secure and protect a hairdo or a rollerset. Some of the descriptions even mention thinks like fashionable or pretty and they were. A pretty woman wearing nicely set curlers and a curler cap can be absolutely beautiful!
This little cardinal came along during a nature walk with my grandkids on the grounds of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington.
Of all the songbirds, I think these are my favourite.

In the mid-fifties when Willys and Kaiser merged, it was the end of car production in the US for both of them. Jeep was their popular model. They decided that South America needed local auto producers and Willys cars were then made in Brazil, after a few years delay. Jeep was the one that got going, though, and the Jeep station wagon seems to have been pretty popular. A little later they got a styling update to make the wagon and pickup quite uniquely Brazilian.
Notice the old Chevrolet in the background.

Due to the nature of the low back end these Iveco bodied buses had this made loading tricker, this was no match for 243 with a couple of chocked wood we were away!
"Além do Horizonte existe um lugar
Bonito e tranquilo pra gente se amar...
Além do horizonte deve ter
Algum lugar bonito pra viver em paz
Onde eu possa encontrar a natureza

I was taking some photos of the sunset when the Kookaburra flew in and sat beside me. I have never seen then before over in Surfers and I got a big surprise.
In Surfers Paradise on our holiday in Queensland.
History of Surfers Paradise.
James Beattie, a farmer, became the first European to settle in the area when he staked out an 80-acre (32 ha) farm on the northern bank of the Nerang River, close to present-day Cavill Avenue. The farm proved unsuccessful and was sold in 1877 to German immigrant Johan Meyer, who turned the land into a sugar farm and mill. Meyer also had little luck growing in the sandy soil and within a decade had auctioned the farm and started a ferry service and built the Main Beach hotel. By 1889, Meyer's hotel had become a post receiving office and subdivisions surrounding it were named Elston, named by the Southport postmaster after his wife's home in Southport, Lancashire, England. The Main Beach Hotel licence lapsed after Meyer's death in 1901 and for 16 years Elston was a tourist town without a hotel or post office.
The boom of the 1950s and 1960s was centred on this area and the first of the tall apartment buildings were constructed in the decades that followed. Little remains of the early vegetation or natural features of the area and even the historical association of the beachfront development with the river is tenuous. The early subdivision pattern remains, although later reclamation of the islands in the Nerang River as housing estates, and the bridges to those islands, have created a contrast reflected in subdivision and building form. Some early remnants survived such as Budd's Beach — a low-scale open area on the river which even in the early history of the area was a centre for boating, fishing and swimming.
Some minor changes have occurred in extending the road along the beachfront since the early subdivision and The Esplanade road is now a focus of activity, with supporting shops and restaurants. The intensity of activity, centred on Cavill, Orchid and Elkhorn Avenues, is reflected in the density of development. Of all places on the Gold Coast the buildings in this area constitute a dominant and enduring image visible from as far south as Coolangatta and from the mountain resorts of the hinterland.
