Shisen-dō (詩仙堂) is a Buddhist temple of the Sōtō Zen sect in Sakyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. It is registered as a historic site of Japan. It stands on the grounds of its founder, the Edo period intellectual Ishikawa Jōzan (1583–1672), who established the temple in 1641.
A room in the main temple displays portraits of thirty-six Chinese poets. The selection of the poets was based on the opinion of Hayashi Razan. The portraits were executed by Kanō Tan'yū. This and some other parts of the building date to the time of Ishikawa Jōzan.
The temple's gardens are considered masterworks of Japanese gardens. One of them includes a device called a sōzu, a type of shishi-odoshi designed to scare away wild animals such as deer by making a loud noise. Water trickles into a bamboo tube, and when it reaches a certain level, it upsets the balance of the tube. The tube tips over on a pivot, discharging the water, and turns upright, striking a rock and emitting a loud clapping noise. (Wikipedia)
A palavra Iguaçu é originaria do idioma Tupi-Guarani , formada por 275 saltos com vazão média de 1.500 m3/s e altura das quedas variando de 75 a 80 metrosde altura.
Alberto Santos Dumont visitou as cataratas em abril de 1916 e maravilhou-se com as belezas naturais da região comprometendo-se a lutar por sua preservação.
No mesmo ano as áreas em torno das cataratas foram declaradas públicas.
Em 1939 criava-se o Parque Nacional do Iguaçu atraves do Decreto Federal e em 1986 foi reconhecido pela UNESCO como Patrimonio Natural da Humanidade.
Trata-se de uma das maravilhas do mundo.

Another lotta photo :) I took it while she had siesta under her favourite tree in the garden: Each day at 1 pm Her Royal Highness starts snoozing. And you can't disturb her because not only her eyes but also her ears are shut! You may call her and she comes- or she doesn't come (usually :]) Sometimes we thought that our old lady can't hear well. But then each crackling paper opens her eyes for a short while hoping that anyone serves something delicous before she starts ignoring us again! :)

Having departed Cwmbagoed, 66570 slowly makes its way down the steeply graded single line branch along the Taff Bargoed Valley to Ystrad Mynach where the train will join the Rhymney line to Cardiff. This is the daily working (Monday to Friday, and sometimes Saturday) to Port Talbot (6C94), for once a clear day in this somewhat desolate landscape.
Maribell Palace and its gardens were built in 1606 outside the medieval walls of Salzburg. Several scenes from The Sound of Music were recorded here. Maria and the children sing 'Do-Re-Mi' while dancing around the horse fountain and using the steps as a musical scale.

It is difficult to show all the power and "impressive" impressions from those waterfalls in such images.
The guy on the first was attracting me in way. His outfit was too unusual for this location.
(Just a tip how to travel to the waterfalls: Public transport works well in Foz do iguacu and Puerto Iguazú. Some other offers such as transport to the waterfalls are the usual tourist traps)
