Esta pequena capela está construída nas terras que eram de meu avó e agora são de meu pai! Ela é um símbolo do grande papel que a religião representou na árdua época em que os imigrantes italianos chegaram no sul do Brasil. Para terem um local onde orar, os vitivinicultores da comunidade , devido a uma grande seca, doaram vinho para a construção de suas paredes! Aparecerá muitas e muitas vezes em minha galeria!

This small chapel is built on land that was my grandmother and now my father! She is a symbol of the great role that religion played in the difficult time when Italian immigrants arrived in southern Brazil. To have a place to pray, the winemakers of the community, due to a severe drought, donated wine for the construction of your walls! Appear over and over again in my gallery!
The Last minutes before sunset at the top of Morro do Pai Inacio, Chapada Diamantina, Bahia - Brazil. Yet suffering with the lack of rain, those cactus keep the green and the beautifull landscape of the "caatinga", our portuguese word for desert.

At first I thought there was a malformity to the back of this mallard hen's head. Now, I understand that this bird is called a "tufted" mallard duck. Maybe a species variant, not really sure. What I do know is that she has one crazy hair-do! Almost like a 1950's style bee hive. She was very friendly, practically tame, and swam right up to me as I was laying on the bank photographing the farther away wood ducks. Thought that you all might enjoy this shot, and the hair!

1950’s, Azenhas do Mar Beach is one of the most appreciated beaches in this area, although its sandy area is no bigger than
30 meters.
Over the Beach, on the high cliffs that surround this beach and its environs is situated a wonderful viewpoint, usually quite frequented
all year round due to its astonishing landscape, and also often used for sport fishing.
