Colinsville Riverland Railway Company - H0 and n30 scales, loosely based and inspired by railway and tramway operations around Australian in the early 20th Century. The layout belongs to Coli Konig. The layout features features many small but fascinating details all around the area and a considerable amount of time can be spent observing everything on the layout.

The Albert Dock is a complex of dock buildings and warehouses in Liverpool, England. Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, it was opened in 1846, and was the first structure in Britain to built from cast iron, brick and stone, with no structural wood. As a result it was the first non-combustible warehouse system in the world.Today the Albert Dock is a major tourist attraction in the city and is a vital component of the UNESCO World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City. The docking complex and warehouses also comprise the largest single collection of Grade I listed buildings anywhere in the UK.

Staten Island Ferry dock, at the Staten Island ferry terminal in New York City.

 

The pattern of these repeating posts caught my eye while I was waiting to disembark from the ferry. I don't usually do much with black and white photos, but that seemed the best way to emphasize the pattern that caught my eye. I may have to clone those wires out; I tried to find a shot where they weren't so obvious, but the effect wasn't quite right.

This CAT 3, multi-slip dock resumed it’s installation earlier this week at Lake Chatuge and is expected to reach completion tomorrow! North Georgia Boat Lift and Marine Construction Company, one of Wahoo’s top dealers, has been working on this beauty. Featuring a double slip with a wide side, this dock is covered in Ironwood decking. Custom bumpers line the inside of the mainframe as to protect the boat from becoming damaged. The dock will also feature a complete upper level with Aluminum Sandstone decking and Cantilevered stairs. It is attached to the mainland through an Arched 50' Gangway with Ironwood decking.
