Sightseeing boat Dock on Thames

Still very sturdy and made to last but it's seen better days. I wonder who has tied their boat to this over the years.

Lovely little spot for a picnic by the lake, where Molly spotted the dock and wanted a wander. An adventurous spirit, or maybe just plain nosey, she enjoys nothing more than new areas to explore and clearly communicates her preferences. She is also uniquely gifted in finding the best breeze in any given location. A useful skill for a Florida dog.

In Walthamstow Marshes.

No boats at the dock and no one else in the campground awake to to see this sunrise.

The water on Round Lake was like a mirror last night, so I had to take a few shots.

I’ll admit that this one is as easy as falling off a log…IF…you get the exposure right. This particular Snowy Egret likes to hang around the floating dock at Bay Area Park and does most of its foraging from the kayak launch that is built into the dock. It was perched atop one of the solar powered lights that are attached to the dock. As long as a person doesn’t make a sudden move, it’s willing to stick around and do a bit of posing. The wind in the area usually picks up by midday and that is when I usually arrive back at the take-out point. Photo is taken at Bay Area Park on Armand Bayou.

A picnic is set up on the dock between the boats with the Long Beach Lighthouse in the background.

A morning filled with fog and low clouds was the perfect pairing alongside the colorful sunrise.

During my post-processing, I wanted to keep this image in line with my editing style to achieve a consistent and clean photo.

This was taken back in '09 (even though flickr says otherwise) when I went to Europe with my school. This was at the docks in Veneto going to take the boat to Venice. The picture would have been better but I had a really bad camera :S

The Main Street Docks in Vancouver harbours police boats, fire boats, port service vessels and such.

Stronachlachar Pier on Loch Katrine

As a kid I fished off these docks. Call me a scavenger just like the seaguls. My uncle would always have a fit as I'd be the one leaning over too far, or anxiious to get more fish than the rest. The sea has always given me peace. The sound, smell, and the change in the air is like a sedative. I could sit an be mezmorized for hours. :) HSS all!

An old dock that has been neglected for years, shows obvious signs of decay. This dock has given way to new and modern floating docks instead.
