It is the biggest and busiest container port in the UK and regularly has the worlds biggest ships in dock

This one was feeding on a a dock (obviously!) on the farm where I was staying.

A railway dock that still had some activity in June 1981. The area is now utterly unrecognisable. Long-gone Brunswick Wharf power station in the background.
The parrots love to eat the seeds of Dock weed. Sometimes more than one eat on the same plant causing it to bend and break. There are still plenty of seeds on this one but it is looking a bit worse for wear.

That's a long ass road on a push bike!!

Th abandoned St. Joseph Island ferry docks at Bamfort Island closed with the opening of the Brent Gilbertson bridge in 1972. The bridge replaced the ferry service operated by the Province of Ontario from 1953 to 1972. The bridge crosses the St. Joseph Channel / Lake Huron's North Channel and connects St. Joseph Island via Highway 548 to Northern Ontario.
Usually we clean up the Space Station on Saturday, but yesterday we had a new arrival: the SpaceX Cargo Dragon, so we spent all day unpacking. Some experiments need immediate attention, so after unpacking we got to work on the science too! On my first mission Proxima, the SpaceX Cargo Dragon flew close to the Station and then we grabbed it with the robotic arm and manoeuvred it to its docking port. This is the new upgraded model that docks automatically (like the Russian Progress). It is very similar to the Crew Dragon that flew us here, but instead of people it brings up supplies!
Qui dit cargo ravitailleur, dit provisions et équipements scientifiques. On a passé le samedi à ranger : répertoriage minutieux avant ET après stockage, déballage, tri, liaisons avec le Centre de contrôle, course contre la montre pour transférer les boîtes de pétri et autres échantillons qui doivent être conservées dans les congélateurs… Les opérations ont mobilisé tout l’équipage, et chacun avait un rôle bien précis pour ne pas se flotter dessus et perdre un temps précieux !

I am always stuck by how beautiful Shelburne's Dock Street is. I have, in the past also found it a constant source of frustration photographically as so many of views don't seem to translate well into an image. On my last visit I tried to find a few new angles and was fairly pleased with some of them. It helped that the breeze kept that flag perfectly displayed.
Trivia: The Scarlet Letter and The Moby Dick mini series (most recent) were filmed in Shelburne as well as several other movies.
Goole Docks bathed in the golden light of the setting sun on Wednesday 23rd November 2016. Prominent in the scene are the silos for Hudson Ward flour millers and animal food producers, the south dock lighthouse and the 1912-built "Tom Pudding" No.5 boat hoist. "Tom Puddings" containing around 28 tons of coke were hydraulically lifted half-way up the hoist before there contents were discharged into a ship below. It was last used in the 1980s to handle coke from Bolsover, Askern and Grimethorpe coking plants.

Seaforth Dock is a purpose-built dock and container terminal, on the River Mersey, England, at Seaforth, to the north of Liverpool. As part of the Port of Liverpool and Liverpool Freeport
This year will probably see me looking into more experimental work, with a nod to cinematography. And maybe more fog.

Saw this old boat dry docked along the shore today, thought it looked a little sad but I'm sure a nice boat in its day.
