Philadelphia

Development in Philly is out of control, worsening conditions for working class people & the environment. Hundreds of community activists took to the streets to set the tone for Philly's 2023 election: anyone running for mayor or city council better have policy solutions for ensuring long-term, working class residents have a place in this city and that Philly is truly tackling and prepared for the climate crisis.

The march was organized by community groups fighting for land justice across our city, including Philly Thrive, Sunrise Movement, VietLead, Save UCTownhomes, Save the Meadows, Cobbs Creek EJ, and more!

The pump has two types --- horizontal single-acting and double-acting. The diaphragm separates the slurry pumped from hydraulic chamber, effectively increasing the service life of plunger (position) and packing. The diaphragm rupture signaling device prevents metered and hydraulic fluids from intermixing in case of diaphragm rupture. Under all operating conditions, the rupture of the diaphragm is reliably signaled. With appropriate wiring, the pump may be shutdown. The system remains leaktight even in case of a diaphragm rupture.

Single, duplex, and triplex diaphragm pumps are available. Capacity ≤800 m3/h, max. working pressure ≤25 MPa, slurry temperature 200, particle size 8 mm, concentration ≤75%.

According to individual customer requirements, safety valve, damper, check valve, circulating valve, diaphragm rupture signaling device, and control panel can be supplied in full set.

During my short trip to document protest for Greenpeace India after the arrests of four activists of Mahan Sangharsh Samiti in May 2014, I also documented daily life, graffiti of resistance, tendu patta collection, trees which will be felled in case mining starts for them.

A displaced widow in front of a house gets support from her daughter who also lives in Bwasare.

The Bwasare IDP settlement (in Gasorwe commune, Muyinga province) was set up by the local administrator in 1998 to settle ethnic Tutsi and Batwa closer to their place of origin. These IDPs had fled five years earlier to various locations in the province. About 550 people currently live in the settlement, which is close to a communal centre and a main road. Most of the inhabitants are able to farm the land from which they were displaced.

The capacitive sensor system capaNCDT 6300/6310 is designed for industrial use in production plants, for measuring and testing during in-process quality assurance.

The capacitive measuring principle ensures very stable and very accurate measuring results. The 6300 series is a single channel solution.

The larger the area of displacement the more information contained int eh stream. This transmission started as a historical one but new information may have been added to it.

Activists / neighbors / people concerned about predatory development participated at a One Art Community Center meeting on how to stop a billionaire land grab neighboring the popular community venue.

Located at 1431-39 N. 52nd St,

One Art has beautiful plans to develop Bibleway Church, next door. Our community-centered vision is now threatened by German Yakobov / Haverford Developers who have been actively buying up property elsewhere in West Philadelphia and now have plans for this property. How do we protect ourselves against billionaire land grabs?

How do we fight back? How can people help?

This was an hour-long beginning for this newest Philly neighborhood struggle against predatory developers.

Fun in Photoshop with someone's new car. Don't worry, if you don't like this, well, I have the original image practically a click away. Sure, it definitely isn't perfect, as there were some extremely stubborn areas that were hard to select due to shadows, but, I had some fun with it.

A Displacement Engine is a compass that always points home, but allows the user to toggle the route and drift off-course, a new way of exploring your environment. A way of getting you out of a dull disappointing and repetitive routine.

This is my honours project. www.jasminecox.co.uk

FORCED MIGRATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE: HOW WE CAN EMPOWER COMMUNITIES TO COPE WITH CLIMATE-INDUCED DISPLACEMENT

Every year, more than 20 million people are forced to leave their homes and communities because of climate-related disruptions such as flooding, water scarcity, and soil salinization, and by 2050, that number could reach 1.2 billion. Climate change is a risk and vulnerability multiplier, exacerbating conflict and contributing to displacement on various fronts. As countries around the world contend with climate-induced crises and displacement, it is essential to support at-risk communities beyond immediate disaster relief and look toward providing sustained support for long term mitigation and recovery, like adaptive and sustainable farming practices for a changing climate, relocation plans, and building and rebuilding durable housing. This will require cross-sector collaboration between governments, aid agencies, and the private sector.

On January 16, 2017; The Citywide Alliance Against Displacement held a rally at City Hall to demand Mayor de Blasio step down for promoting racist rezoning plans that target communities of color and to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.‘s legacy of fighting against racial and economic injustice all over the country. The Alliance said it chose this day to hold the rally to reclaim the day from politicians like Mayor DeBlasio who use celebrations on this day to cover up their own racist policies.
