Artipelag is an international venue for art, good food, events and activities – beautifully set on Värmdö in the Stockholm Archipelago.
In the year 2000, Björn Jakobson, founder of the well-known company, “BabyBjörn”, was struck with the idea of creating a beautiful building for art and cultural experiences somewhere in the Stockholm archipelago. In 2012 the building was completed.

I tried to get as close and as low to the water's edge as possible without being too obvious.

The Point That Arrived Before Direction BY AEON VON ZARK.
It was not
moving
through the forest.
It was
allowing
the forest
to discover
another
orientation.
Its point
did not divide
the air.
The air
rearranged
itself
to deserve
its passage.
Branches
continued
to grow,
yet none
could later
agree
which side
of themselves
they had occupied
that afternoon.
Leaves
did not tremble.
They revised
the meaning
of stillness.
The small
white light
ahead
was not
a destination.
It was
the place
where direction
had already
become
memory.
Birds
returned
to their nests,
carrying
routes
that no longer
fit
inside
their instincts.
By the next morning,
botanists
reported
nothing unusual.
Except
that several vines
had begun
climbing
toward
places
that did not
yet exist.
No explanation
followed.
The forest
had accepted
that -ahead-
was no longer
a location.
It had become
a living
property
that wandered
from one being
to another.
