We had a basket of peaches and I could not resist doing a mini session with them and Reece, he is such a character and half....

I included the photo in the comments because I wanted to show you the very large pine trees that surrounded us.

The genus Diplodocus was first described in 1878 by Othniel Charles Marsh. The fossilised skeleton from which Dippy was cast was discovered in Wyoming in 1898, and acquired by the Scottish-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie for his newly-founded Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. The bones were soon recognised as a new species, and named Diplodocus carnegii. (Wiki.)

The Natural History Museum's famous dinosaur, Dippy the Diplodocus is touring the UK, and Rochdale has been selected as 1 of just 8 venues which will host him during the tour.

The iconic exhibit started his tour in 2018 and will take pride of place in the award-winning Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale from February 2020 to June 2020. (Rochdale on Line)

For Dip-It-Thursday: Fresh

My body is screaming for some rest; more so, for the beach or the swimming pool! It has been crazy busy at work that it's so hard to plan for a summer outing. :( It's already halfway through May but I'm still hoping to feel the water (aside from shower) and get a deliberate tan!

Enjoy the heat guys...if you can! =)

Happy Weekend Flickr!

Explored, thanks!!!

Something a wee bit different.

The Glorious Om Riff by Steve Hillage

Play this track here.

The Hindus believe that at the beginning of the world there was just the sound and energy of Aum. The sound increased, the universe vibrated and the world was created.

I first came across Steve Hillage when I attended the Deeply Vale free festival in Rochdale, 1978. At the time he was a bit too hippy dippy for me but as my tastes changed, I delved deeper into his work and rather like his stuff now.

It has been raining all day long. What else to do about it if not grab your camera and try to capture some of those sparkling drops? Take the opportunity to take beautiful photos - the light and colors are beautiful on rainy days :)

Today was Megan's first lunch at preschool - she's been dying to join in for ages and I finally relented, chose a funky lunchbox for her, and signed her up for Monday lunches.

I've decided that Monday will also be eggy lunch day for Eli and I - eggs feature so rarely in his diet due to Megan's allergy. It has been years since I had soft boiled eggs and I'd been looking forward to these all morning. Eli quite enjoyed the 'dip dip' aspect, and crushing the empty eggshells, but was less enamoured by egg white on its own. Next week: omlette

Honey's doing well, thanks for your thoughts and kind words... :-) one side of his face is a bit swollen, but getting better slowly... :-)

still very busy, both hubby and dog got teeth pulled, so they are both still hurting... :-( tomorrow at 6am we will be hanging the next show on Ward Island. I'm going to post the invite shortly, so if you're around, drop by! :-)

El domingo se realizó la Maratón de Canal 5.

El circuito atravezaba el túnel Arturo Illia, aproveché para tomar algunas fotos de la carrera.

I took the picture of my own hands by dangling my camera on the neck strap and putting it on the timer, holding my hands blindly in front of the lens. Not even sure if I would get them in the frame. Fortunately, the first one looked okay, because I took this just walking along the sidewalk and felt kind of awkward about taking this picture.

100 year old blue whale skeleton is unveiled to replace dippy the dinosaur at the Natural History Museum

Its 6:47am Philippine time. Gooood morning, sunshine! I just got home from a sleep-over but we haven't really slept at all so yeah, what I've just said is technically whacked. This is some kind of a post-and-run, I will visit your streams after I get a little zzz.

Cuppycake is from my friends Rhyan and Darryl last Valentine's. They're single and ready to mingle and yes, I guess I just *almost* pimped them out. Thanks both.<3

My dippy for Dip-It Thurs.

Theme: Move it, baby! :D

About the title.

Right Round. Good song. Before Flo Rida, there was Dead or Alive. Their version is quite...interesting. I prefer Flo Rida's though haha.

Sorryyyy I'm being a lazy (well, more like really busy) contact and not really getting back to you guys. I might be able to today...

But I'm gonna be gone for the whole weekend :/

Well. Back to my powerpoint on Italy. It's taking me foreverrrr but in my opinion, actually looks pretty spiffy :)
