The darker fruits are pluots, actually... From Dorie Greenspan's recipe, only cut in half to fit my #5 iron skillet and made with olive oil and lemon zest. Truly, this is one of my favorite cakes.

The sand is dimpled from overnight rain and ridge from the earlier wind. Early morning at Currumbin beach, with Elephant Rock is in the distance.
