During the first 8 days of March, I photographed Dimpled Trout Lily (Erythronium umbilicatum) at sites in three different states (GA, SC, NC). I saw this one along the Rottenwood Creek Trail in the Palisades Unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, in Cobb County, Georgia.
Did a pre-wedding shoot for my friends Parin and Dimple last weekend. Walked by these two kids playing this interesting board game and kept it in mind for later. After doing some shots around a row of shophouses, we walked back over to those kids and asked politely if they wouldn't mind us taking a few shots with their game pieces in place. They were pretty cool about it and let us do it.
i was waitting the dimple of the higher flower's drop falling down. A little patience should be needed.
I'm off down for a few hours down the beach this morning. The forecast is windy with showers , and you never know what opportunities await. I've called this Dimples, by John Lee Hooker, as I love dimples, and I love the texture as the wave drops back just before it becomes like a mirror. I don't think I've ever shown these dimples before.
One of the Violet Queen zinnias opened with a dimple pressed into each petal. There have been several variations in color from this packet of seeds.
It snowed and snowed and then it rained. And now it is snowing again, all of which does strange things to snow. (the view from upstairs)

i got bored of just shooting places at night, so i tried something different and shot from the ground....at about 4 in the morning. alone. in cleveland. not the safest idea, but i got some nice results.
Had fun trying to manage the best shot possible with this warm, bright light.
