This Grand Dame was seen in a medical office waiting room. I thought that she had great poise and dignity. So I took a few candid shots.

On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska honored the memory of activists killed during the Revolution of Dignity.The event was also attended by President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olena Zelenska, together with Maia Sandu, placed icon lamps to the cross on the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Alley in Kyiv. The participants also paid tribute to the memory of the fallen activists near their portraits.
A bell was struck in honor of the fallen participants of the Revolution of Dignity.

Men are living longer and while this is good news, research indicates that older men are increasingly experiencing loneliness.
The Jo Cox Commission on Loneliness estimates that eight million men (of all ages) in the UK feel lonely at least once a week, with nearly three million reporting that it is a daily occurrence.
In partnership with Age UK, Dr Paul Willis at University of Bristol is leading a 2-year qualitative study called Older Men at the Margins. The purpose of the study is to identify ways of alleviating loneliness (and reducing isolation) for men aged 65 and over across hard-to-engage and marginalised groups.
Taken in the highlands of Santa Cruz island in Galapagos, this photo is only possible due to intervention efforts to protect the giant toirtoise on the islands. Invasive species (brought by man no doubt) such as rats and goats nearly wiped out the population, and some variations indeed already have been. After intense efforts to remove the invasive speices and incubate toirtoise eggs in captivity, the population is thankfully again beginning to thrive. But is a life that is desperately dependent on this level of human intervention a dignified one? Perhaps this leaf munching giant has the answer...
