Last week our mail delivery person told us that pussy willows were spotted along the roadside. That bit of information was exciting by its-self, and then the snow buntings arrived, adding further proof that spring is on the horizon. The snow is still deep, and the temperature in the sun is 33 degrees above zero as I write - but for Alaskans, this is the start of spring!

Start messing around with a flower and see what you end up with. It's all in the wrist mixed with a lot of luck, but no AI.

Macro photo of a hibiscus, modified with a variety of digital filters to produce this artistic image.
The pile of boxes and beer bottles stacked high against the alley wall actually appealed to me but none of my best post-processing could convey how I felt until I tweaked it into the realm of the abstract. :D

I invite you to visit all my photo-gallery. Thanks
This image was achieved by first converting it to monochrome; then pushing the contrast; then adjusting the monochrome level to lighten the negative space. The silhouette effect can be attributed to the lighting conditions and color of the horses.
As I sat sipping the last of my morning coffee - I noticed the sunshine was making a unique light pattern on one of my kitchen chairs. As the sun rises further and further to the north of us each day - it is interesting to see the play of light on ordinary objects within our cabin.
