I was playing around with "metals" for theme for another group - when I veered off course - and ended up with my aluminum watch bezel looking like a space craft. So here it is posted for "Sliders Sunday".
HSS! to all of my "Slider" friends!
(A mind is a terrible thing to waste, especially when combined with cabin fever. Hahaha!)

I found this little dead leaf still hanging on an alder tree near our cabin. With all of the wind we have had recently - I don't know how it hung on. While a dead leaf is not necessarily a thing of beauty - with a little Photoshop work he looked a bit more pleasing to the eye.

I was recently standing along a back road here in Alaska, taking in the beauty of spring. Leaves were popping out around me - beautiful snow covered mountains surrounded me - and the sun was warm on my shoulders - when suddenly . . . (with great fanfare and much squawking) - two Canadian Geese settled down not far from where I stood. After their long flight, I think they were in need of some rest, and maybe a long drink from one of the many ponds that dot our vast wilderness.
(For Sliders Sunday Group) HSS!

Another ethereal cool blue ripple with a cartoony digital artifact playing with the way we always seem to see faces when there's nothing there, . . . :D

This image started as just another clear day shot of an arriving ship when... inspiration struck and the mood changed somewhat.

Hello There!
For Slider's Sunday (and my weekly experiment), I decided to take the neighbourhood cat to Deep Dream Generator (DDG). Then I tweaked the colours in Topaz Studio to get a bit more "pizazz" (or so I hoped)! Happy Slider's Sunday! HSS!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day!

Sunrise at 10:07.
Days are getting shorter, but the sunrises and sunsets are getting prettier. Our high temperature today is predicted to be 25 degrees above zero - dropping down to 12 above tonight.
Photo taken on our east facing property.
I had a bag of birds. They were making a lot of noise in the house, so I took them to the park and let them out. I think they are happy now.
Day 264

I took the original photo of a 'blue' orchid and post processed it 'pink'.
I flipped the image and combined the two, making it look like a reflection.

A cow moose with calf is spending a warm afternoon grazing in our backyard. Since our area is dotted with many ponds and lakes - they don't have far to go for a drink of water, or a cooling swim. Doc and I enjoy watching them as they walk by our open windows. We can hear their heavy footsteps crunching along the gravel driveway just outside of our cabin door - and on this particular day - mother moose stopped just three feet from our open kitchen window and looked in at us. This is just a part of what we love about living in Alaska.
Green tea, my morning drink of choice.
