No, this isn't the completed drawing, haha 😭:). And look how glowingly beautiful Rose' is! 😭:). I was continuing the drawing tonite and noticed Rose' does look like Fam Fan Fan from Last Exile 😭:), so I decided to make this a quick 'side hustle' but it turned out to be ok :). This drawing is also a homage to one of my favourite Japanese illustrator & character designer, Range Murata :). Although I don't agree to his subjects, you'll see why, haha 😭:) but loved his 'vision' & style very much & was my driving force to get into digital illustration back in early 2010, in which I said to myself at that time, 'if he can do that, so can I' :) - it was a steep learning curve into self teaching into digital illustration 😭:). The main drawing idea for Rose' is a full body with an ultra wide angle perspective, it's messy :). Thanks for looking. Drawn using ps cc, cintiq24hd. I don't know why all my stupid characters have to live in cities. I hate drawing them. I'd rather draw trees and stuff. But I don't want to live in the nature...so maybe I don't want to torture them by making them live out there...who knows.
I'm going to be reusing this, possibly tomorrow, just fyi :B
Also, I opened up a Society6 store...mostly because I wanted a new phone case. But I might be putting more stuff up in the future if anyone is interested....or has opinions of what they might like.

"Kabwe 1 (also called the Broken Hill skull, Rhodesian Man) is a Middle Paleolithic fossil assigned by Arthur Smith Woodward in 1921 as the type specimen for Homo rhodesiensis, now mostly considered a synonym of Homo heidelbergensis.
A new technique applied to the skull allowed quarter millimeter thick fragments to be removed and the skull therefore dated directly, with the new estimated age range, published in 2020, being 324,000 to 274,000 years ago."

I keep drawing this skull and have a few other reconstructions of it in my Paleoart Album. I drew this one based on my photo of a replica in the Chicago's Field Museum and have included the pic in this digital drawing.
I have thought the Kabwe skull has an exaggerated "Halloween" look due to the shape of the brow ridge. The light of the museum display emphasizes this and I wanted to keep that look in this drawing, giving it a more stereotypical look of an extinct hominid.

One of the hottest woman on this planet 😭:). I haven't seen any 'wet brushed up hair' photo shoot for Rose' and this doesn't exist, so I thought, why not draw it? 😭:) I had this idea a bit over a month ago, along with other ideas that kept coming on my head on a daily basis :). This is for as much bigger drawing project but not as big as the previous drawing but will still be difficult due to its level of detailing. At first I thought, this will be a smaller and easier drawing but the 'force' kept adding 'stuff' into my mind to be added on this drawing, lol - so be it and consider it done :). I used around 5 references for Rose' and 3 for the wet brushed up hair :). Not sure when the final drawing will be completed, it's quite complicated 😭:). Thanks for looking. As I write I'm sitting in the Cook street Starbucks after having uploaded this sketch. I used "SketchBook X" (Express), a freely downloaded app. This is my very first sketch and I must say I'm happy with it. I'd give this program a 9.75 out of 10 based on being able to draw and "paint" (fill in areas) without any reading up at all. I will definitely continue using this app.
I was inspired to look into drawing apps further after a meet-up evening with an art group in Victoria where we discussed digital drawing.
This program is waaaay better than "Procreate" which I've found to be totally frustrating and therefore almost useless.
I was not even remotely close to getting this thing done yesterday! I tried really hard!! But nope. I had to redraw a couple panels like, 18 times. Might have been why. Also, coloring took forever even though it really doesn't look it.
This was a beast. I guess compared to page 1 it's massive lol
And look! John kind of has a friend. Sort of.
And I left my notebook at home with all my notes for the next page in it. So I'm doomed.
