This drawing was inspired by the poem "Eight Balloons" from the book "A Light in the Attic" by Shel Silverstein. The poem is about a bunch of balloons that aren't being sold to anyone, so they break loose and fly off to do things they want to do, but they all end up getting popped. Well, in this case, my drawing does not include eight balloons. Instead, it includes nine! I drew an extra balloon, because why not? Shel's poems are a lot of fun to read, and the illustrations in some of his books give me plenty of inspiration for drawing.
Even though the poem that this drawing was based on didn't say what colors the balloons were, I decided to give my balloons some nice, bright colors to make my drawing pop. (Get it?)

Just doing a bit of digital drawing the other day on a draw request board. Someone asked for a redhead & this is what I came up with.
This is a digital installation that I've been wanting to do. In it's ideal form, the piece would be comprised of 287 Digital Prints and would be around 16' H x 18.25' W. I've been mulling over titles including Prismatic Field Array (which I think sounds a little too much like Keith Tyson's "Large Field Array" and Prismaticon (which I like, but is a little over the top -- though the kids seem to like over the top so maybe Prismaticon it is!). I'm going to keep thinking it over. Let me know if you have any thoughts! Maybe it can be something ironic™ like "Into the Void" or "Space is Deep" or "My Little Ponies Revenge" or "Rainbow Bright is Dead!" or "Rainbowtron" or "Orgasm of Chromatic Phenomena" or "Phenomenology of Logic -- In Color!". Okay, enough! Only serious suggestions please!

I am learning how to use my new Genius drawing pad. Ok.... Not very good, but I will certainly improve. ===== And it is certainly easier to draw with the pen than with the mouse! hehehehe...
