My first digger cake!
It was supposed to be a 2D digger cake as this was all that the customers budget allowed for, but when I set out to do it, I just wanted to do the 3D!!
It's not bad for a first attempt, I know what I would do differently next time though.
Chocolate sponge. Made for a 3 year old somewhere in E11, London!
Must find the picture/artist that inspired me to use the sweets...
A Field Digger Wasp (Mellinus arvensis). This is the first one that I've managed to photograph this year in our Staffordshire garden. I just love that face. Looks really tough!
These wasps hunt Diptera (true flies). They paralyse them with a sting and then use them to provision the brood cells in their nest. It's fascinating to watch them hunting. They gradually approach their prey and at the last moment, leap on them.
The latest MBX Construction five vehicle set is now finally here in the UK via Sainsbury's and one which is evidently a shrine to nasty grey plastic! I don't mind the MBX Backhoe being of generic design as virtually no child can identify properly a real life Digger but does it have to look so cheap and nasty! Ive seen better cheapo Chinese equivalents!
Mint and boxed.

An iconic view of a translucent corner of the arcading in Palazzo Ducale with an addition of a small digger, Venice, Italy.
Inspiration for this cake came from cakesbysugargirl. Made from a rectangle slab, chocolate cake, ganached together.
Two sleepy pugs. Digger the fawn pug has developed a recent problem with yelping, whining and "screaming" out for no known reason. Is it because his master is in the hospital? I haven't a clue, but he laid in Mollie Sue's little bed next to my computer desk, and was making those sounds when she climbed in next to him and tried to comfort him. Digger is blind from cataracts and has diabetes. In spite of the racket he was making, Mollie Sue fell sound asleep.

Die Abrissarbeiten der Eggerstedt Kaserne in Pinneberg scheinen zu stocken. Der leicht bewachsene Bagger scheint schon eine Weile still zu stehen.

Quite pleased with the look of this one - it's one of the joints on the arm of a mechanical digger that I found parked in a back-street at lunch time today!
I never met Digger but there is no doubt he was a "good boy". Digger is buried in Vaughn Cemetery near Caledonia MS. This is not a "pet Cemetery". Vaughn Cemetery dates to 1820.
They decided to dig up the street near my parents to replace the gas mains - never seen a gang take so long....
