Got Hippies? Call the Hippie Digger
When hippies start to anger President Nixon, he calls in the Special Forces team with their revolutionary Hippie Digger. This massive drill machine forces hippies off government land, and helps fight flower power! The Hippie Digger is a militarized vehicle used by the Man/Nixon to remove hippies who are causing free thinking havoc. Get a job you bums!
Large backhoe near the end of the Texas City Dike. Not visible from here was a dredger working on the Texas City Ship Channel. I suspect this machine was working with it, though not working at the time I took the photo.
Our pubs are once again closed during the latest Covid restrictions to try and stem the case numbers which has risen alarmingly since the main Lockdown eased. My local, the iconic Diggers pub, is doing takeaway while they can't hav people drinking inside, so I stopped and got a four pint jug filled with draught ale on the way home for work. Decent beer for a good price for me and a little bit of support for my local
I know it's just a piece of machinery but there is something I love about this shot. The lighting, the grass and, of course, the fact that it's recorded on the superb Kodak Ektar film which oozes detail and tonal silkiness :-)

3 shot hdr f8.0 1/125 +- 2stops, taken whilst holding the camera over a fence so couldnt see what I was taking,
We've recently had a pergola and trellis erected in the garden. Not only does it provide a very attractive garden feature, it's also very popular as a warming-up spot for insects in the morning. Today (as well as a variety of other invertebrates), there were about a dozen of these male Mellinus arvensis digger wasps using it.
They decided to dig up the street near my parents to replace the gas mains - never seen a gang take so long....
the statue of a World War 2 Australian Digger seemingly looks with admiration and satisfaction at today's generation of young Australian men gathered for a winter's lunch in Anzac Square, Brisbane.
I can imagine young Australian men of 70 years ago doing the same thing in the same place in the same manner - enjoying a chat, their lunch and the winter's sun.

One of the pairings from my adventures in the Kulsehov effect. Trying to link up photos from my daughter last summer and ones of Miss Agnes from the last week to change up the narrative a bit.
In this pairing I liked the similar lines and colour palates. I really do think the photos go together visually, and maybe play on a theme of construction as Agnes grows and develops as a puppy.
