This is another shot that I took of the Museum. It was fast approaching 12 and i needed to get this shot fast as at 12 they turn the lights off. This is the product of 3 bracketed shots mixed in photomatrix and then processed after in Photoshop.

Now a little bit about the Museum

The Fitzwilliam Museum is the art and antiquities museum of the University of Cambridge, located on Trumpington Street opposite Fitzwilliam Street in central Cambridge, England. It receives around 300,000 visitors annually. Admission is free.

The museum was founded in 1816 with the bequest of the library and art collection of the 7th Viscount FitzWilliam. The bequest also included £100,000 "to cause to be erected a good substantial museum repository". The collection was initially placed in the old Perse School building in Free School Lane. It was moved in 1842 to the Old Schools (at that time the University Library). The "Founder's Building" itself was designed by George Basevi, completed by C. R. Cockerell and opened in 1848; the entrance hall is by Edward Middleton Barry and was completed in 1875. The first stone of the new building was laid by Gilbert Ainslie in 1837. A two story extension, paid for partly by the Courtauld family, was added in 1931

Now for something completely diffrent...Wishing l was here...Yes your right...Liverpool...Only joking :-)

On both sides it was about fading memories. For my model, Margo, it was a sad day, as she had lost her grandma and she was sad about that. From that moment, her grandma would become a fading memory, rather than a reality. For me, it was diffrent: I made the shoot short, and did it in my usual place I mostly do- it was my final shoot with a model, so those places have so much memories- and since I am not planning to make another model shoot, they have become fading memories for me as well..

I have been shooting portraits for almost close to 4 years and it always had been a great joy. Bringing it to an end was a hard decision, but there are many many factors that made me come up with that- they were maybe little , small issues but when they add up, the balance of having joy got weaker and weaker- untill I decided to end it.

So therefore- for me those shooting days will remain as, ''Fading Memories''

Hand held, high ISO and a warm filter run over it.

Had diffrent plans for this shot, but didn't have time to set lights or flashes up so just fired off a couple of hand held shot and was rather pleased with the results, ok there is a little noise but overhaul I'm pleased with result...

When you are walking in Caernarfon,going down Palace street look up and you can see lots of diffrent umbrella's about 180 someone told me!

The Wikipedia rightly says that "Pacific gulls are usually seen alone or in pairs". Yet last Sunday afternoon I counted six juvenile birds, seemingly in diffrent stages of development, swimming very close to the beach at Ricketts Point, when this "almost adult" bird arrived.

I also love it when an image has power to it, thrue sense of scale, powerfull light or like this one, a powerfull emotion frozen by time...

I don´t know why I haven´t uploaded this one till now, guess I just forgot. This photo is kind of special to me cause it was the first ribbon I got over at DPC. Sure, nothing groundbreaking about it and there are a ton of things I would have done diffrently with the photo if I had taken it today but still very pleased with it even though it´s hardly the most original photo in the history of photography.

Used a 550ex and a 420ex from the left side to light this, direct flash and no bounce as I needed every bit of strength from them as I could get.

My friend Hjalti had at that time recently bought this HUGE aquarium that holds about 800 litres of water and it was empty so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to try one of these splash shots I have seen so many of. This was my first time doing anything similiar as this and it was a lot of fun and I have done quite a few of them since then.
