After resolving major technical difficulties with my lab, I'm finally able to share some of this past weekends photo adventures with you. This week end was a trip south again to see my grandsons play soccer. This time we decided to travel down US 65 and back again. This is the south bound segment. We did beat the sun that day and were able to play the fantastic morning colors off the clouds. This only lasted until the clouds decided to gang up on us and rain. The shoots were still good even with that. Enjoy the trip down Route 69.

Delicate Arch trail.
Length: 3 miles roundtrip
Difficulty: Moderate
Description: Delicate Arch is the most recognizable arch in Arches National Park, and perhaps anywhere in the world. It also happens to be located along one of the most dynamic hiking trails within Arches National Park. More than 480 feet above the parking lot and trailhead in the valley below, Delicate Arch is hidden in a bowl at the top of one of the park’s famous sandstone fins. Delicate Arch is freestanding, and magnificently alone in the natural sandstone bowl, standing out against the multitude of horizontal planes around it. The arch was once part of the upper section of the fin, until erosion took its toll upon the sandstone throughout the years, and now Delicate Arch is all that remains of that Entrada sandstone formation.
The Delicate Arch Trailhead is located on the Wolfe Ranch turnoff, which is 11.5 miles up the Arches Entrance Road. The right turn to Delicate Arch is advertised at the turnoff, and the trailhead is on the left side of the road, at the ranch. The trail is rugged and steep, especially near the end as it mounts the sloped side of the sandstone fin. Along the way, visitors will pass a pioneer homestead, Ute Indian petroglyphs, an overgrown streambed, throngs of juniper, a smaller arch, and the famous slickrock for which the Moab area is world-famous.
Delicate Arch Trailhead
The trail starts at a fairly large parking lot off the side of the road, passes the old Wolfe Homestead, and then crosses a bridge over Salt Wash.
Wolfe Ranch
This homestead was built by a disabled Civil War vet, John Wesley Wolfe, in 1888 and inhabited until 1910, when the aging owner moved back to Ohio.
Ute Petroglyphs
This panel of rock art is attributed to the Ute culture. In includes a number of bighorn sheep, horses and dogs.
Frame Arch
Frame Arch is next to invisible when compared with the splendor of Delicate Arch just around the corner; most hikers barely even recognize the arch on its own merits. However, Frame Arch is famous for being the perfect window through which to photograph Delicate Arch, and many people use it to frame their shots of its more photogenic sibling, as its name suggests.
Delicate Arch
Delicate Arch has graced many magazine covers, mantle pieces, coffee tables, stamps, license plates, and a variety of other media. It is an international attraction, and has drawn its fair share of abuse over the years, including (now illegal) climbing, and ignorant pyrotechnics.

Today’s business representatives who rely on data centers know that outages or other difficulties could directly affect their clients and profits. Therefore, a risk management plan is crucial for these critical facilities to operate smoothly to not only satisfy existing customers, but to also gain new ones. These six tips for structuring a formal risk management document will help data center professionals anticipate the worst-case scenarios and prevent them.
1. Implement Details for the Types of Risks Faced
Various risks could hinder data center operations. Dealing with each one means identifying each type and getting into more specifics as needed. Some leading data center brands structure these risks as tiers to keep them organized. The first tier might address power loss risks, while the second one goes into handling floods or fires.
After settling on the risk types, data center professionals could break the content down further by selecting subcategories for each main section. For example, a segment about security-related threats could give information about physical security, as well as people who might remotely log into data center tools on their mobile devices.
Sticking to a strategy when organizing the content requires forethought. However, doing it makes the information in the plan easier to find and update as needed.
2. Recognize the Shared Responsibility of Risk Mitigation
A well-structured plan to minimize risks in a data center features content that emphasizes how everyone has a vital role in threat mitigation. Every person can help keep a data center operating without incidents, and the processes they follow collectively achieve that goal.
For example, a facility’s front gate security guard could require that each visitor sign in upon arrival and present evidence of a previously arranged appointment. Similarly, data center employees who work around electrically powered equipment must receive training and follow safety procedures to reduce threats.
Including a part in the plan that describes how people in certain roles contribute to risk management gives clarity and sets expectations. It also helps data center managers identify where to invest in more education or other resources so that people feel well-prepared to carry out their duties.
3. Evaluate the Suitability of Third-Party Infrastructure
When service providers offer data center audits, they work with colocation and cloud partners, plus assess on-premises infrastructure. Anyone tasked with creating a plan to deal with risks should use the same approach for all-encompassing results.
One option is to split the plan into several sections. The first might include the risks directly within a company’s control. Another could have the threats primarily associated with third-party entities. A third segment could detail the issues that a company and its outside providers have a shared responsibility to conquer.
Making those distinctions facilitates asking the right questions and confirming needs during conversations with external providers. Additionally, data center managers can become more aware of, if and when, third-party providers may expose their customers to excessive risks. In those cases, it’s necessary to have serious conversations about fixing the issues of concern and potentially switching to another data center if problems persist.
4. Incorporate Disaster Recovery Steps
Cutting risk does not mean only identifying the situations that could disrupt a data center’s operations. It means knowing what to do after disasters strike.
Disaster recovery in the IT sector generally falls into two categories — natural disasters and system failures. However, recent months introduced new challenges due to COVID-19. Some data centers included pandemics in business continuity plans, making them better prepared than other businesses.
Besides addressing things like backup power and systems that stop fires from spreading, planning for disasters also means determining what to do if entire departments or teams become infected with the novel coronavirus. Additionally, companies should explore new precautions to take when employees work remotely.
Ensure that data center risk management efforts include step-by-step instructions for dealing with specific risks when they arrive. Giving a facility’s employees access to a document that equips them to act quickly and decisively helps limit a catastrophic event’s impacts.
5. Account for Sound-Based Risks
Designers of music venues and rehearsal studios consider acoustic needs among their top-of-mind concerns. However, people who plan and assess data centers may overlook how acoustical threats could interfere with a facility’s operations.
The tricky thing is that some products installed to limit risk could introduce it in other ways if they cause prolonged acoustical disturbances. For example, loud alarms associated with fire suppression systems could affect sensitive hard disk drives’ functionality. Noisy climate control equipment could have similar effects.
When writing risk reduction plans, data center managers should describe any current measures that deal with acoustic threats, as well as future updates that could do even more. For example, soft materials in rooms make sounds less likely to carry, thereby limiting the vibrations that could harm delicate equipment.
6. Describe Alert Notification Procedures and Appropriate Actions
Today’s data centers have advanced systems that monitor the environment and issue prompt warnings about potentially dangerous situations. A plan created for data center risk management should explain how those systems work and what people should do after receiving notifications of possible problems.
For example, what steps do they go through to verify whether there’s a genuine issue or a false alarm? Should a person notify other team members after getting an alert, or immediately start investigating the matter?
The people involved in structuring the risk plan must ensure that the document includes up-to-date contact details for the relevant parties. If a worker struggles to find their superior’s phone number, they could waste valuable time, meaning an incident may worsen and progress uncontrolled for too long.
Don’t Delay When Dealing with Data Center Risk Management
Coming up with a detailed approach for handling data center risks takes time, effort and input from multiple parties. However, it’s well worth doing because these plans can stop problems from escalating and help make facilities and their team members more resilient.

Difficulty doesn't have to be associated with home improvement. If you plan ahead and maintain a flexible attitude, you will be able to do your home improvement projects in a timely and cost effective manner. Read the article below for some simple ways to make home improvement easier.
Choose wood floors for your home if you can afford it. Despite a similar appearance to real wood and being easy to take care of, laminate cannot be refinished. In the coming years a real wood floor can be refinished, whereas a laminate floor must be completely replaced.
If you are switching out your floor tiles, look to purchase radiant heat tiles. Those tiles use your electricity and can create a huge change! However, these are incredibly easy for self-installation, and by following the listed directions, you can knock the job out in a few easy steps. Since you are going to work on your floor or hire someone to do it, this project can been seen as a small add on. You will enjoy radiant heat tiles especially on a cold, winter morning.
A good quality drill is an excellent home improvement tool. This tool will create different-sized holes by using screws, as well as utilizing special attachments for driving the screws. Here is the best kind of drill to have: 9V cordless with bits ranging from 1/4 to 1/32 in both Phillips head and flat head types.
While painting, you should always remember to protect your floors. Any paint that gets on the hardwood flooring or the carpet can be really tough to clean up and may actually cause damage. One inexpensive and effective way to protect flooring is using layers of old newspapers. Try using a drop sheet or plastic to protect the floor of paint splashes.
A good way to save on money and heating costs in the winter is to insulate your attic. Heat rises over time and a tremendous amount of heat is lost in the fall and winter season in houses with poor insulation. Most hardware stores carry insulation, and its installation is very simple.
Making improvements to a home can be aesthetically pleasing and they create monetary worth, too. All houses need to be repaired and maintained. Homeowners that go above and beyond basic maintenance have better looking homes that have increased value. Keep learning tricks on home improvement in order to get these rewards. www.mossige.com/5-things-you-need-to-know-about-chromecas...

.New Fresh Start program helping families hurt by foreclosure during recession
DOVER — A new state program is designed to help families and individuals who have experienced foreclosures, job loss, or other financial difficulties stemming from the financial crisis that began in 2008, Governor John Carney and other officials announced this week.
Fresh Start, a partnership between the Delaware State Housing Authority and DHSS’ financial empowerment program, $tand By Me, offers free financial coaching to help Delawareans get past setbacks and move toward home ownership again.
“Home ownership is a fundamental element of our economy and important to ensuring our neighborhoods thrive,” said Governor Carney. “We have to make sure that all Delawareans have an opportunity to succeed, achieve financial stability and strengthen their communities. Through Fresh Start, we are giving people the tools they need to help them work through economic challenges.”
The statewide program, funded by bank settlements, was developed to help Delawareans who lost their homes due to foreclosure, short sale, or deed in lieu arrangements, said DSHA Director Anas Ben Addi. They may wish to improve credit, increase savings, or decrease debt to put them in a better position to buy a home or rent.
“Fresh Start reaches Delawareans who have struggled to recover and get back on the path to financial stability,” Ben Addi said. “Losing your home or job is painful and a significant challenge, but with the right coaching and assistance, we can help Delaware families move forward again.”
$tand By Me, a partnership with the United Way of Delaware, works with nonprofits to offer personal financial coaching, with four coaches statewide devoted to helping Fresh Start clients.
“Our goal is to provide people with the information, resources and support they need to establish and achieve their financial goals,” said $tand By Me Director Mary Dupont. Since it began six years ago, $tand By Me has served more than 75,000 Delawareans, including more than 14,000 who have participated in financial coaching.
Governor Carney and other leaders spoke at an event formally kicking the program off at the Goodwill store at Lea Boulevard in Wilmington. Goodwill is one of three nonprofits with Fresh Start financial coaches, along with NCALL Research and Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware.
Information on Fresh Start can be found at standbymede.org/fresh, or a coach can be reached by calling:

Individuals with mismatched teeth have the displeasure of having to fix their teeth with unpleasant and inconvenient traditional braces. The procedure is both harsh and unpleasant. You can't eat anything, you have difficulties talking and articulating properly, and you're even afraid of being judged due to your orthodontic treatment.
All of that is no longer the case. ODS Aligners are here to ensure that you have access to quality orthodontic therapy possible without sacrificing any of these factors. We realise it seems too wonderful to be real, but once you've completed your therapy, you'll understand why we make assertions.
So get ready to say goodbye to metal braces and hello to ODS Aligners transparent thermoplastic trays To understand this, consider the following points.
Many people have misplaced or damaged teeth, and you know how it can affect the look (and functionality) of your smile, as well as your ego. ODS Aligner on the other hand, have been used to assist straighten teeth for improved capacity and beauty for much more. More orthodontics are now being created, like invisible aligners.
1. Braces Cannot Be Removed
It is impossible to extract traditional braces on your own. You'll have to wear them for the length of your orthodontic treatment, and only an orthodontist will be capable of removing them. Aligners are changed on a constant schedule to reposition the teeth.
In contrast, aligners do not have to be adjusted. Rather, you get a new set of aligners every few weeks to keep your tooth correct.
2. ODS Aligners can help with a variety of ailments.
Many individuals believe that aligners are only used for cosmetic reasons, which is incorrect. At ODS Aligners, we have quite a devoted staff of doctors and dentists and dental specialists who are committed to making the process better for all of our clients. ODS Aligners can correct the same difficulties that traditional braces may, and they can do far more with unique properties than standard metal orthodontics.
3. They are suitable for all age groups
Adults like aligners because they eliminate the need for metal orthodontics to realign their teeth. ODS Clear aligners are also available for adolescents. This is due to the fact that wearing metal braces might lower your self-esteem. Although there is no problem in getting mismatched teeth, it might make you look unattractive. You don't have to sacrifice your appearance with ODS Aligners.
Furthermore, young toddlers who may require a dental correction may still be acquiring new vocabulary. Since metal braces are inconvenient and difficult to wear, they might impede speech development. Wearers of orthodontics nearly always talk with a stutter, which is not the situation with ODS Aligners.
If you're wary of going to the orthodontist because you'll get unpleasant braces, we urge you to reconsider. Please contact us at ODS Aligners if you wish to correct your smile.

Focus on Eldercare's response to COVID-19
At the purpose when the noxious impacts of COVID-19 showed first in Wuhan, the entire city and therefore the entire of Hubei Province ground to a halt. The lockdown of Wuhan brought remarkable torment and threatening difficulties for several individual occupants therein first focus. Presently, COVID-19 represents those equivalent difficulties for individuals and social welfare frameworks all-inclusive. Especially, it tests our aggregate endeavors to believe one another, particularly the foremost defenseless among us.
As a populace, individuals quite 70 will generally have more fragile insusceptible frameworks and progressively fundamental conditions that obstruct their capacity to battle the infection. They're likewise sure to dwell on bunch day to day environments, nearby people. Floods of COVID-19 passings in nursing homes — first within the Seattle territory, at that time on the brink of Sacramento and now during the country — have underscored this inauspicious reality. Up until now, Californians quite 65 have made up, at any rate, a fourth of the state's affirmed instances of COVID-19.
Be that because it may, guidelines, especially for helping living offices, are unsafely failing to satisfy the expectations in protecting California's older folks from this infection. Luck, Gov. Gavin Newsom's plan on Aging activity, as of now ongoing, presents an opportunity to forcefully address this peril and find how to secure an enormous number of more seasoned Americans.
Helped living focuses are an aid to the Eldercare business and therefore the enormous corporate proprietors that currently command the market. Simultaneously, in any case, an absence of guideline and oversight of staffing levels and capabilities — particularly prerequisites for on-location doctors and much prepared clinical experts — has left the business defenseless against misuse and unfortunate results. One glaring issue that has got to be tended to: helped living focuses are directed by the state Department of Social Services rather than the Department of Public Health.
In any case, it helped to measure maybe a piece of social welfare and clinical consideration conveyance framework, not only a direction for living. Propelled a year ago, Newsom's plan on Aging has framed a warning advisory group, is holding open gatherings and within the fall is planned to offer a 10-year plan which will address issues from lodging and vagrancy to crisis readiness to manhandle and disrespect. The venture has made a "Value Committee" to urge a contribution from a progressively differing gathering of residents and associations, including agents of the crippled network, Native Americans and other ethnic minorities.
Considering the spreading coronavirus general wellbeing emerging, it's basic that the representative's plan on Aging takes on an expansive and genuine open arrangement job. We weren't bothered with elevated level clichés for tending to the wants of the old. We'd like solid arrangements, solid guidelines with implementation teeth and a guarantee to continued oversight.
The Age of COVID-19
Older people who get themselves out of the blue alone without authority over their conditions are at specific hazards for an assortment of serious, even hazardous, physical and psychological well-being conditions, including a subjective decrease. Limitations on the opportunity of development ought to be proportionate and not founded solely on age.
COVID-19, as different irresistible melodies, represents a higher hazard to populaces that live in nearness. This hazard is especially intense in nursing or matured consideration offices, where the infection can spread quickly and has just brought about numerous passings. About 1.5 million older people individuals live in the nursing homes in the US, barring helped living offices and different settings making nearness.
Twenty-three individuals kicked the bucket in a flare-up at an office in Washington State in February and March, and the US Centers for Disease Control detailed 400 additional cases in offices as of April 1. On March 31, wellbeing experts in the Grand East district of France detailed 570 passings of older people in nursing homes.
Older people often end up in nursing homes due to governments' inability to offer adequate social types of assistance for individuals to live freely in the network, approaches that have put millions at included danger of getting the infection as a result of their organization. Governments ought to guarantee the progression of network-based administrations with the goal that individuals don't wind up in organizations without different alternatives.
Expound now on the roles played via care laborers in continuing the lives of the old during that emergency, and who, however dreadful themselves, by and by remain day in and outing inside the bounds of their wards to offer fundamental consideration.
Care supervisor Chang, the woman in charge of the consideration laborers among whom I led my hands-on work, coordinated the change of her ward into a self-sufficient fixed of a unit of care. The passage to her floor is carefully monitored; just fundamental conveyances are permitted, for instance, nourishment and clothing. Since nobody can enter or leave the structure, the flask for the older was transformed into a dozing region for care laborers. Despite the very fact that a lot of consideration laborers have their circle of relatives to require care of, they put that piece of their life under the control of others. Care specialist Lin, whose spouse died at the start of the pandemic, did not have the chance to completely grieve his passing due to incessant understaffing at Sunlight. She came back to figure following the burial service, despite realizing that she not, at now expected to figure at Sunlight to hide her significant other's clinical costs. Lin's arrival says much regarding her promise to her calling, to her colleagues, and to the old she had come to understand so well. My examination with care laborers recommends that it's an enthusiastic association and an awareness of other's expectations that propels them to remain the end of the day in care work. This is often borne out immediately.
Carefully add China is often seen as being grimy and unfortunate, thanks to an excellent extension to its nearby hook up with the realistic consideration required by slight, skilled bodies. Chinese consideration laborers are for the foremost part provincial to urban transients or urban specialists laid far away from previous state-claimed processing plants. In any case, direct consideration is intricate. In any case, its unpredictability goes unrecognized, or maybe disregarded by institutional powers that organize benefits and generalize the old as bodies to chip away at, to the disregard of their social-passionate necessities. As is valid with Sunlight, things which might typically undermine the keenness of care laborers, for instance, the absence of institutional acknowledgment for his or her enthusiastic work, are required to be postponed. Care specialists are currently centered around a shared objective: ensuring the gift assistance of the older. COVID-19 propels care laborers to consider what kind of care is required and the way to offer that care. It fills in as a channel through which the elemental beliefs of care are observed. Care is about common human weakness and our intrinsic association. Care laborers at Sunlight, in their aggregate every minute of everyday endeavors to secure the older, typify this ethic through their consideration. May the respectful regard, they hold of the older in their consideration redound on them and everyone consideration laborers overall who are fighting this pandemic on the bleeding edge!
Like the consideration laborers at Sunlight, the laborers in numerous nations are regarded human life so that we cannot be embarrassed to return clean with the leading edge about ourselves. Salute the spearheading staff who salutes our purposeful endeavors to handle the pandemic in numerous settings around the globe, within the daylight, yet additionally to ensure that veterans are appropriately treated, took care of and washed.
We all hope and pray that the coronavirus will soon be controlled and subdued. And that when the crisis is behind us, that we continue the important work of protecting the elderly and other vulnerable segments of our citizenry.

I was chopping down some elephant grass in the front yard, and after my Craftsman handsaw had difficulty cutting it, I tried using my Fiskars (AKA Gerber) Brush Hook machete, and a chop deflected it up off the hard grass, and into my hand before I could react. I had a lanyard on the sharp knife to act as a mechanical advantage as a longer lever for greater force; with a half grip on the very end of the handle with the 550 cord lanyard around the wrist aiding in the retention of the chopper.
The bad news is, this also caused me to be unable to release the knife as it deflected, and the momentum continued it into my hand, before I could react it had hit me.
I was unable to stop, much like when you think you can brace yourself for a car impact, but later when it happens you find out that you can't.
I felt the impact, which was a numbing in my hand. I was afraid to look at first, and I hoped I had been hit below the blade at the top of the handle, because it was numb and didn't hurt very bad.
I looked and saw that I'd been cut, realizing the straite edge at the bottom of the blade did it. If it had been closer to the end when it impacted, it would have been a force multiplier for greater damage. Worse still at the very end, where the hook is. It has a curved edge, and causes a shearing affect as it cuts, because the curve causes all the energy to be focused on a smaller area which moves as the curve forces it to as it chops, much like a kurkri.
I tried to hold my hand steady to minimize bleeding.

My son's ballet teacher agreed to a photo shoot. After some technical difficulties and a second attempt at the shoot (thus why I'm posting a bit late, sorry!), we had some really great shots. So many that I had a really difficult time narrowing it down.
Freeze motion. Shot about 10 feet back at f/4.5 (we were in shadow) at 1/320 of a second at about 12:15 PM facing south. I caught her almost perfectly at the apex of her jump and her hair is just starting to lift as she starts to succumb to gravity. I've always been fascinated by jumps and leaps in ballet. I wanted to get a feel of that almost weightlessness of a dancer in the air.
