"I establish boundaries which determine both what is collected and where it is collected from. Accumulating and assembling single-coloured objects, I consider the psychological influence of colour, its effect and sensory impact upon the viewer.”
Chroma is the culmination of Manchester artist Liz West’s interests and ideas over a five-year period. This new body of work, site-specific to BLANKSPACE, explores the themes of colour theory, collecting and the exploration of real and illusory space.
West’s playful and magical works, each of which she builds by hand, consist of unexpected and carefully arranged combinations of materials. Systems of ordering, classification and coding are applied in the development and generation of West’s work. She invokes the monumental, whilst utilising commonplace objects that are found and collected from the world around her

just for fun, I cleaned off a bit of the lane divider - a
surprisingly challenging task. I expected to do the whole pool, but
the dark color was a surprisingly hardy crust that didn't succumb to
a brush but if you rub it hard enough it will crumble.
but seriously, i'm not renewing my pro account.
and i've been busy with college and it's not like anyone ever comments so it won't make a big of a difference.
around november i'll get a new pro so yeah. bye :)
An image of my neighbour, Katie, in her nurse's uniform. She looks so proud and she's barely changed in 40 years, which makes for a brilliant comparison!
I FOUND THE DIFFERENCE!!!
Tilly had an accident tonight, the peg holding her foot hook in shot out and I had to restring her leg and get the peg back in. Not fun, but in doing so I noticed that her leg had a part that none of my others have.... take a look at the pic compared to my Lami's leg
The homescreen is a microcosm of the differences between the two devices. The N86 has a more traditional phone centric approach to convergence, where as the N97 draws at least some inspiration from the laptop (and is arguably more of a generic media tool).

let us re-emphasise that we are talking only of our understanding of things in our proper time and space, and that for our pure singleness of difference there is no time and space. (but having said that, it is only as our comprehending of our own pure singleness that things exist.)
let us also re-assert that although for a thingly, phenomenal self ‘in space’, time does seem to pass as accumulating moments of difference, the moments being accumulated are those already accumulated by the thingly, phenomenal others - always in part as the self already was.
therefore by reason of symmetry, the momentary articulation of a thing’s proper time into it’s future is thus cancelled by an equal and opposite articulation into it’s past. for the absolute symmetry of singleness, the currency is not spatio-temporality, but rather sheer difference as such.
let us now go on to describe the first fifteen moments of phenomenal proportionality of {r(gv)}. this will then lead us on to a consideration of the gravity of our thing {r(gv)}. (note that at moment zero - just before the infinite gravity of moment one - the value is zero. we take this to indicate the zero gravity of pure singleness).

The northern side of the Guincho Beach has favourable conditions for wind and kite surfers while the southern side is more suited for surfers. The sea is always very cold and comes as a shock to many tourists new to the region. The difference between the winter low temperature and the summer high is only 2°C (17-19 °C).
This photo shows the difference in the way each type of log set supports the roof. Lincoln Logs had the one piece red support (first wood and later plastic like this one) and American Logs had specifically shaped logs which have slanted ends keep the log-look going all the way to the peak.

Right now there is a Golden Orb in my back yard I call “My Friend”. She is really large and I have been getting my face very close taking these photos with the Canon S3 IS. I am happy with the results. This spider is more than 8 inches across (around 215 mm) counting its legs. Some information about this weaver spider:-
Golden-Orb Spider (Nephila pilipes)
The family of Orb-Weaver Spiders is unusual in showing a marked size difference between the two sexes. The bodies of the males are only 6mm long but the females are giants, with bodies up to 60mm long and leg-spans reaching 200mm or more. The female can be 600 times bigger than the male. Populations living further from the equator tend to be smaller, possibly because of the shorter growing season.
The females build large webs, in open areas often high in forests. The web is a vertical oval made up of a golden spiral bridged by colourless radiating threads; the oval is suspended by colourless threads from the surrounding vegetation (or structures) which may be meters away.
These spiders eat flies, beetles, butterflies and other flying insects that become ensnared in their webs. Leftovers of meals, such as the exoskeletons (skins) of insects are left hanging in the web (and are visible in the photograph).
E.J. Banfield, a naturalist who lived on Dunk Island in Queensland, wrote in 1918 about indigenous people using these webs for fishing. “The end of a stick was twisted in the web to attach the web to it, then the stick was waved about to spin the web into a single line about a metre long. The spider was squashed onto the end of the line and trailed in the water. Fish that attacked the bait became attached by their mouths and were taken. The breaking strain of the line was estimated at about 0.3kg but this was of no real consequence because the fish that were being caught were only about 4cm long. However, the method was successful enough to yield 17 fish in 10 minutes of observation.”
Spider silk is highly elastic and very strong for its weight. Different types of silk are exuded from different glands in the abdomen. In the web of the Golden-Orb Spider, the golden spiral is sticky but other threads are not. Silk is exuded as a liquid but quickly solidifies, remaining highly elastic and very strong for its weight. Because of these unique properties, many laboratories are working on production of this silk by genetic engineering.
Reproduction in the Orb-Weaver Spiders is not a straightforward affair. The web is occupied by a single female and several hopeful males. Although it might not be true of Nephila pilipes, in the related species, Nephila plumipes, 60% of males are eaten during or after sex! It appears that the larger males are more likely to be eaten, which probably explains their small size. However, males that have been eaten generally have copulated for longer, so that more of their sperm fertilize eggs. These males leave more offspring, passing on more genes into the next generation and contributing to their biological success.
In Nephila fenestrata, some males copulate with females that are preoccupied with feeding. These males are even more successful because they have long copulations while the female is eating, thereby transferring more sperm. Not only this, but they survive the event to defend the female from fertilization by other males as well as having the opportunity to mate again!
The female digs a pit in the ground into which she deposits the fluffy yellow egg sac and covers it with soil and leaves. After hatching, the spiderlings quickly make their way up trees and other structures.
This species was first described by the Danish entomologist, Johan Fabricius, in 1793. A pupil of Linnaeus, the Swedish scientist who devised the basis of modern biological classification, Fabricius went on to become a professor at the University of Kiel (which was in Denmark at that time), publishing several important works on insects.
The Golden-Orb Spider is found in the northern parts of Australia as well as in South-East Asia and in the Papua-New Guinea region.
This rickshaw puller was trying to save himself from rain under a shade. May be he was afraid of getting cold or fever, which would be disastrous for him. In front of him few young boy and girl were enjoying the rain with ice-cream in hand!

Due to a timing difference in the Canon Utilities and the UTC settings the time 'taken on' has shifted 1 hour later. My fault for not setting the BST shift in the Camera.

The Flåm Line (Norwegian: Flåmsbana) is a 20.2-kilometer (12.6 mi) long railway line between Myrdal and Flåm in Aurland, Norway. A branch line of the Bergen Line, it runs through the valley of Flåmsdalen and connects the mainline with Sognefjord. The line's elevation difference is 863 meters (2,831 ft); it has ten stations, twenty tunnels and one bridge. The maximum gradient is 5.5 percent (1:18). Because of its steep gradient and picturesque nature, the Flåm Line is now almost exclusively a tourist service and has become the third-most visited tourist attraction in Norway.
Construction of the line started in 1924, with the line opening in 1940. It allowed the district of Sogn access to Bergen and Oslo via the Bergen Line. Electric traction was taken into use in 1944; at first El 9 locomotives were used, and from 1982 El 11. Until 1991, the train connected with a ferry service from Flåm to Gudvangen. In 1992, freight services were terminated, and due to low ticket prices and high operating costs, the line was nearly closed. In 1998, Flåm Utvikling took over marketing and ticket sale for the line, prices were heavily increased and El 17 locomotives were introduced. The trains remain operated by the Norwegian State Railways (NSB), while the line itself is owned and operated by the Norwegian National Rail Administration [Wikipedia.org]
