"The essential difference between these two views is that for the scientist, appearance and the ability to measure and record is the primary quality; for the shaman or mystic the primary quality is the 'being' behind or within the appearances. Is it therefore necessary for the scientist to exclude the truths of the shamanic view? Can being be discounted because it is not objectifiable or readily apparent to sensory perception?" Peter Raine

The appearances look a little bit different from our countries. Ours have the real object so that we can see them.
I just had to share this with everyone, the small picture next to me was taken a little over 2 years ago.
Yes it is me, and really shows how much I have changed in appearance since November 2007. Most of these changes have occurred on their own and according to my Doctors at both the VA in Palo Alto and Stanford Medical Center have said this may happen to 1 in 5 to 10 million people over the age of 50. Needles to say going 24/7 was of necessity .
An automatic, mechanical calculator first designed by Charles Babbage in 1822, and if completed would have been he first calculator/computer ever developed. The columns held the values of the polynomials, and the machine programmed by shifting the discs to the initial set of polynomial values, then cranking it up to determine each new set of values. As it was, after the costs of building the device skyrocketed, the British government removed financial support, ending the project. This device was the first one built in 1991 based on Babbage's designs, and despite a few minor errors works flawlessly.

life is so diverse, large and ever expanding. it is this difference that makes us unique and an individual.
Okay, so for people (all three of you still commenting/viewing photos), I'm getting really freaking annoyed with my wide angle lens. It has an arperture of 2.8. But it never has the DOF I'm used too. I thought this was because I shot with an f1.4 so often. But then I had my telephoto lens out. The DOF with that (at f4.5) is more shallow then my wide angle. And I don't understand it?
Any help, suggestions? It's been bugging me. I AM shooting at 2.8. At least that's what my camera and lightroom say I'm shooting at. But it doesn't look like I am. At least not comparing those two pictures above. Granted the first photo goes back further, but it is still blurrier than in the 2.8. And Bello is closer up so you would think that would make a difference?
I don't know. I'm annoyed.
There is difference between religion and spiritual science. In religion you follow rituals, chant mantras, do meditation, leaving bad things, adopting good things etc, while Spiritual Science is experiencing eternal things. When you realize your Self, you enter into Spirituality. Spirituality, also called as Spiritual Science which is science for liberation.

I had been dipping in and out of Difference and Repetition for a couple of years, trying to make use of scraps of ideas taken mostly from chapters four and five. The ideas were taking shape but things were a bit of a mess, and the detail wasn't there. In August 2007 I decided I'd take my time and read it start to finish to try and make more sense of it. I take a lot of notes, when I get really stuck I like to draw diagrams in an attempt to map things out, to figure out how the ideas may be related.
This collection of diagrams was drawn between August and December in 2007.

The difference between Happy New Year and Merry Christmas may be calculated with the phrase as below.
“Happy” is an emotional phrase while Merry is a behavior. Moreover Happy came from the world hap means luck or chance shows for good-fortune. Otherwise “Merry” apply to more showing of happiness
“The Happy New Year” and” Merry Christmas” events have vast meanings in their depth. The real difference between wishing someone a “Merry Christmas” or instead of saying “The Happy New Year” both are said for peace and kindness, which means to have someone good during the same time of year. This will show that they both have a correlation have the same meanings. More likely to say Merry Christmas may wish to blessing and Happy New Year may wish to all aspects of greetings.

Spot the differences and guess which 100 yuan note is the fake. We were issued three fake notes by an ATM in a shopping centre in Beijing. I have read that the banks say this is impossible, they happily to take your fakes and give you nothing in return.

After finally taking delivery of my much awaited Nikon D800, and having received my lenses earlier in the week, I decided to see if this camera, and my monster sigma 150-500mm, are up to the task, so off to a practice day at Snetterton race track. Huge files, lots of memory card changes, and a bit of rain later, and these are a handful of my fans. Impressed? Yes. I have officially jumped the Canon ship and joined Nikon.
Some of my friends ask me why I always wear shorts and T-shirts, dark-washed jeans and flip sandals, not high-heeled shoes, not sequined blouses or dresses :"< well, because I love loose-fitting garment that makes me free all the time. Guys, do I lack sense of feminity inside...
This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image shows a spiral galaxy known as NGC 7331. First spotted by the prolific galaxy hunter William Herschel in 1784, NGC 7331 is located about 45 million light-years away in the constellation of Pegasus (The Winged Horse). Facing us partially edge-on, the galaxy showcases it’s beautiful arms which swirl like a whirlpool around its bright central region. Astronomers took this image using Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3), as they were observing an extraordinary exploding star — a supernova — which can still be faintly seen as a tiny red dot near the galaxy’s central yellow core. Named SN2014C, it rapidly evolved from a supernova containing very little Hydrogen to one that is Hydrogen-rich — in just one year. This rarely observed metamorphosis was luminous at high energies and provides unique insight into the poorly understood final phases of massive stars. NGC 7331 is similar in size, shape, and mass to the Milky Way. It also has a comparable star formation rate, hosts a similar number of stars, has a central supermassive black hole and comparable spiral arms. The primary difference between our galaxies is that NGC 7331 is an unbarred spiral galaxy — it lacks a “bar” of stars, gas and dust cutting through its nucleus, as we see in the Milky Way. Its central bulge also displays a quirky and unusual rotation pattern, spinning in the opposite direction to the galactic disc itself. By studying similar galaxies we hold a scientific mirror up to our own, allowing us to build a better understanding of our galactic environment which we cannot always observe, and of galactic behaviour and evolution as a whole.
