Be different. Be youself. That's what matters.

Two hearts - One soul. We need more tolerence and more love. We all are the same. The same blood rushes in our bodies, the same heart moves us. No war makes love. No Trump and more respect to us all. Wiwi and I stand up and speak loud and I hope you all do it too. Make love, no war!

We are for pro transgender. We are pro homosexuality. We are pro pansexuality. We are for love. We are for the difference!

Be proud to be different. Just be yourself!

A reboot with new data of a target I have previously looked at.

The previous target was pretty but I felt it lacked all the detail the target had to offer so added an additional 30 HA subs from the RH to help realise that. Small percentages but makes a lot of difference when reviewed in detail.

It also allowed me to resolve the ICC mismatch issues my PC suffered after recent updates which caused all sorts of issues on my last image!

NGC 7822 is a young star forming complex in the constellation of Cepheus. The complex encompasses the emission region designated Sharpless 171, and the young cluster of stars named Berkeley 59. The complex is believed to be some 800-1000 pc distant, with the younger components aged no more than a few million years. The complex also includes one of the hottest stars discovered within 1 kpc of the Sun, namely BD+66 1673, which is an eclipsing binary system consisting of an O5V that exhibits a surface temperature of nearly 45000 K and a luminosity ~100000 times that of the Sun. I didn't do much photography this past year since we've now entered Covid times.

This past summer though I did hike the entire Superior Hiking Trail, from the Wisconsin/Minnesota border all the way to the end at the 270 overlook -- 310+miles, and 24 days. The trail follows the ridgeline above Lake Superior, and is quite rugged (I lost 15 pounds over 3 weeks). Since I was carrying everything with me, I couldn't take my 50D -so improvised with my iphone SE (a difference of about 4-5 pounds.

This is Bear Lake, in Tettegouche State Park. The trail here is incredible, though possibly the most demanding part of the trail. Cheers, BG

Just messing about with some filters on my phone, I was taken by how different this scene at Stoney Clouds looked with brighter colours and thought it would be interesting seeing them together!

Another story for you!!! LOL!!

On May 20, I made it to Saulsalito!! Walking around the Marina, I saw this and wondered for a split second if I was in India. LOL!!

I saw a guy coming out of his houseboat and as inquiry mind wants to know asked about the Taj Mahal. He said: "You're right, it's is a miniature copy of the Taj Mahal, the owner, a rich lady, wanted a replica of the real, and they say the inside design and decor is very true to the real. She comes once a year, with her servants, in a limo, spends a day here mostly inside and away from Inquiry Miiiiiiinds and leaves by night"!!!

A daaaaaaaaaay, I said!! WOW!!! and continued "you have a beautiful boathouse!!! He said, mame, this is a houseboat, the kind you live in, not a boathouse, there is a difference, if you don't mind me correcting youd"!!!

Woah!!! I hate to be put in place like that!!! So I made a mistake, so I said with a big smile and dumb look: " Oh! i forgot to mention I am dyslexic with compound words and come to think of it with regular ones too, such as: aks, nukelar..." He interrupted me and said "Are you Republican??"

I said: " Don't know about that but I am Armeniiian??!!!" He looked up from his house-boat -house, stared surprised, and we both cracked up laughing to tears and bended in two!!! He said a great one there little lady, do you mind me telling this story to my friends?? I said go ahead coz I'll be telling it to mine!!!!"

P.S. Forgot to mention that I told him his boathouse was really pretty ( it really was!!!). He wasn't impressed but said thank you!!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

After a long hiatus, unfortunately, I have returned. Less like Douglas fucking McCarthur and more like General Herpes. I dont know how long this particular outbreak will last, long enough to be disruptive but not long enough to make a difference?

You will have to find the location on a real map! as the flickr map doesn't even show Tennant Creek, (to the North) or Wauchope just to the South in the NT.

How were The Devils Marbles formed?

The formation of The Devils Marbles are a result of the erosion of the sandstone on top of granite (which was formed millions of years ago due to the hardening of magma within the earth’s crust)- which the Marbles are made up of. The folding of the earth’s crust lead to the lifting of the granite and the erosion of the sandstone, after the granite came to the surface, pressure was lost and the granite expanded causing cracks to form and fall apart in large, square blocks.

Over time, as the square blocks were exposed to water, their surface began to decay. A layer of the rock was flushed away by water and blown away by wind.

The rounded shape of these blocks resulted from both mechanical and chemical weathering, the surface of the rocks often expand or shrink as a result of chemical processes. Because the chemical processes affect the areas with edges more, a rounded shape is formed. The boulders are also suffering from solarisation and temperature differences between day and night- causing the boulder to crack and sometimes split in half.

Earlier this year Grocery Outlets had umbrella stands for about $18 and I bought a few, for my house and my daughters at the lake. I have great fun in finding different perches and positioning them to create different bokehs...this one being against the hill with brown grasses and oak trees. I can sit here for hours at a time as the birds come to the feeders. When this one male finally landed on this carefully placed perch and started looking around, it was fun to see 'what a difference' a turn of the head could make!

A couple of local jobs switching around Pomona Yard, both sporting former N&W SD40-2s, pause beside each other for a moment, allowing one to see the distinct differences that time has brought to these sister engines.

What a difference a day makes; last Friday I was at a press call for the Moscow State Circus and the on Saturday I photographed a massive Orange Lodge march through Johnstone involving over 40 bands (it took at least 40 minutes to pass my viewpoint). While most people probably think that such marches are only held in Northern Ireland they are very much part of life here in Scotland as well as in parts of England. The weather was kind for once, if not a little too sunny given the length of their march, marching all round the town while playing their instruments and carrying their various banners is no mean feat!!

Some of you will remember me making this 3 ton excavator last year. A few weeks ago I called to see my friends at Clem Jacob Hire so I brought the bucket of the 90 ton excavator with me to show them the difference. It got a few laughs I can tell you. 😂

auf Wunsch von Kristina hier noch eine weitere Version. Für mich eher inakzeptabel, da die hellen Himmelsbereiche ausgefressen wirken und dafür jede Menge räumliche Tiefe einfach ins Grau verschwindet.

Waterfoot

On Wednesday morning I cut a hole out in the wall, we then threaded the beam through the hole, and propped it. I then dropped the doorway opening; and I took out the fireplace in the background.

Of course the bricks that were taken out needed stacking (ready for cleaning, and re-use). The debris needed taking down the stairs to the skip outside. This is the first floor of the building.

On Thursday morning I straightened up the sides of the door opening, ready to take the lintels next week. I can then wall up above the lintels, remove the beam and take out the props.

I started to wall up the fireplace opening in the background too.

This weekend the steam locomotive 26.26 has made its first official journey with passengers after its restoration! BDZ organized several Christmas trains to Bankya with this old lady and also on the narrow gauge railway to Velingrad. As always there were a lot of interest for the trains and despite the bad weather, many enthusiats went to ride or just to see the retro locomotives. On the photo steam loco 26.26 is waiting at Bankya station while the modern Siemens train is ready for departure with the noon service towards Sofia. Interesting fact is that there are exactly 100 years difference between those two railway units! Steam locomotive 26.26 of BDZ was made in 1908 and the Siemens Desiro EMU has been assembled in 2008.

In case if you are interested in railway videos, you can watch and listen this old steam locomotive here:
