My daughter is full of questions, so I made this dictionary holder. It's basically a book cover with backpack straps, and the purple in front is a velcro strap to hold the plush lovey of the moment. She does like to carry it around, which is what I was hoping. Is there an organization called Future Eggheads of America?
This dictionary has been around since at least the 1940s with different publishers and titles. This edition was published by Simon and Schuster. It usually sells for much less than other unabridged dictionaries, as it should, as it is unabridged in name only. It attempts to show pronunciations with diacritical marks on the actual word entry rather than showing pronunciation by respelling the word.

This is me, trying to study my dictionary and take notes on various things- but my cat is peering over my shoulder and sitting on it.
