Once a month, the Ford School community join together to devour pizza and discuss burning issues in policy and politics. These off-the-record conversations will aim to foster frank and open dialogue among Ford students, faculty, and staff. The most recent Food for Thought even featured former New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, MPP student Eneida Hysi, and Ford School BA and Truman Scholar Yasmine Elkharssa.

Another pic from camping. We stayed at Talullah Gorge State Park. This is a picture of the gorge on the water release day. We sat by and watched the brave kayakers as they tackled the gorge. They flipped numerous times but they made it :)
This is the aftermath of a storage shed fire at Ten Minutes By Tractor Wine Co, on February 25. One person went to hospital with severe burns, and the blaze caused a major road to be closed. Fire crews took about 5 hours to put the fire out.
I wanted this to be a documentary news photograph, because this site is actually relevant to an important local incident.
Framing was hard, because to the left was a huge white truck which got in the way if I stepped too far back - so I had to take this closer than I wanted.
The sky looks overexposed at the top of the shed; it was a very overcast day, and I was unsure of how to really deal with that. This was the result after setting the ISO low, but I wasn't sure of what other settings to change which could make the sky come out better.
Despite the challenges, I am still happy with the detail that this photo ended up including.

My department's entry in the office carving contest. We so won. Big pumpkin has a headband with our logo on it, all other pumpkins are decorated with competitors logos (all are blurred out, sorry). Oh the carnage!
