Like someone who’s pulling a rope that will break
Pulling, pulling, pulling, pulling, pulling…
Without realizing, brushing a little more,
Eyes still closed to avoid facing
That the air is made of crystal,
That can shatter,
That, even if it looks weird, I want to devour you.
That the air is made of crystal,
That can shatter,
That, even if it looks weird, I want to devour you.
She didn’t care about crashing in a corner of her mouth
Like the wave that gives itself over to the rock
Lost in the abyss of those hands with no end
Bigger enough to hug all her planet
You’re not here right now
I’m not here right now
But silence is the most eloquent way of lying
You’re not here right now
I’m not here right now
But silence is the most eloquent way of lying
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my body used to live
A piece of your smell
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my eyes used to live
A piece of pain
You’re here right now
I’m here right now
Hug me to make me think of you sometime
You’re here right now
I’m here right now
Hug me to make me think of you sometime
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my body used to live
A piece of your smell
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my eyes used to live
A piece of pain
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my body used to live
A piece of your smell
Your silence lives in mine
And somewhere in my eyes used to live
A piece of pain
The air is made of crystal
That can shatter
That, even if my lips aren’t talking
I want to devour you...

Reddish are so much fun to observe and photograph. They often dance, jump, make erratic movements and shade the water with their large wings to see the fish better. Coming into breeding season their neck gets redder and the feathers more prominent. Here's one about ready to devour a fish it just nabbed.

Amazing to watch this Cattle Egret ,at close quarters yesterday, catching what I first thought was a frog but seems to be a common toad (Thanks to will Atkins for the ID) .The Toad put up quite a struggle before succumbing to a pronged attack by that sharp beak, before being torn into smaller portions and then devoured.
Taken on the Somerset Levels.

The Honey Buzzard (Pernis apivorus) is a species of diurnal bird of prey belonging to the Accipitridae family. This protected species, insectivorous and migratory, is only present during the summer in Europe.
The terms apivorus and apivore come from two Latin words, apis bee and voro, to devour, even if this raptor mainly consumes wasp larvae.
Juveniles can be distinguished by the color of their brown iris instead of gold, and by the yellow color of their cere (featherless area at the base of the beak).
This individual, undoubtedly migrating, was photographed from my house

The harsh reality of life on the Puget Sound.
Life brings death, death sustains life for others.
Eagles get right to business with dinner, he can wash his head later.
Water , water , deep and wide
Can my fingers slide inside?
Feel the beauty of your lips
As your juice, on me slips
Water, water, very sweet
Your delicious beauty, i will eat
Feel your wetness on my face
As my tongue, it does race
Through you waves that do splash
On my lips, has they dash
Over your wetness, that i taste
Devouring your beauty with indecent haste
(This image is half of the story, read below to know the full).
All storytellers agreed on this legend. Millions of years ago, the forest got infected with myriads of mosquitoes. So many that the Forest got alarmed and sent a message through the ground and air, which went as far as the other side of the world. A magnificent and powerful creature called the Dragon was sleeping there but woke up at sensing the message. Then he flew non-stop 8,000 miles over the ocean, and when he entered the Forest, he devoured all the mosquitoes. When he finished, he looked for a tall grass in a clearing by the forest and rested. While resting decided to make the forest his new home forever.

Devouring Time, blunt thou the lion's paws, And make the earth devour her own sweet brood; Pluck the keen teeth from the fierce tiger's jaws, And burn the long-liv'd Phoenix in her blood;
Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleets, And do whate'er thou wilt, swift-footed Time, To the wide world and all her fading sweets.......Shakespeare
I can't say the same thing about the photographer, since I forgot to reset the shutter speed on my camera and had a lot of blurry shots! (I'm surprised I got any in focus). The Red-tailed hawk flew across the road in front of me and caught a mouse or vole. It proceeded to devour its prey in all its bloody goriness. Those of you who hate that kind of shot will be happy to know they all came out blurry. It took less than a minute for the prey to be devoured.

I'm not exactly sure what is happening here but I'm guessing that the spider (which is laying upside down and covered in what looks like webs) was killed by something else and the ants just took advantage of a free meal. Photographed in Maryland today.

"Roughly translated, the word ‘Wendigo’ means ‘the evil spirit that devours mankind’. Another translation, said to be made by a German explorer around 1860, equates the word ‘Wendigo’ with ‘cannibal’. Wendigoag are said to have an insatiable hunger for human flesh - no matter how much flesh they eat, they remain hungry.
This hunger is reflected in their appearance, which, according to some, is extremely thin. Despite their gaunt physiques, Wendigoag are described by some as giants, measuring at about 4.5 m (14.8 feet) in height. Whilst there are slight variations as to the physical description of this creature amongst the different Algonquian peoples, it is generally agreed that Wendigoag have glowing eyes, long yellowed fangs and long tongues. Most Wendigoag are also said to have sallow and yellowish skin, though others say that they are matted with hair or have decaying skin."
