Between the promontory and the sea lies the nature reserve of the Laghetti di Marinello with its everchanging landscape following the seasons and the tides. A thin spit of sand hides four characteristic salt water lakes, caused by the sea flowing into the bay. The formation of the lagoon area dates back to about 100 years ago, between 1865 and 1895 , due to specific tectonic processes and also to the unique weather and sea conditions exist along this strip of coast. The lagoon area is located within the " Natural Reserve lakes of Marinello " established in 1998 and operated by the Province of Messina.Within the reserve , which covers about 380 hectares, there are a wide variety of environments : it goes from lacustrine to brackish coastal marine sands , the steep slopes and areas overlooking the sea . It is also a lovely natural cave : Cave Woman Villa , difficult to reach because overlooking the sea , within which are formations of stalactites , stalagmites and columns. An old legend tells that in this cave there lived a witch enchantress ( as the sorceress Circe of Homer ) that if after luring sailors to her singing sublime liberate devouring it . If the prey escaped the witch vented his immense rage against the walls of the cave affossandovi , with all its force , the fingers of his hands. The name of the sorceress was Donna Villa and only a few would be able to escape ! In terms of the impending Shrine of the Black Madonna is located in a sandy area that draws a long spit of sand that juts into the Tyrrhenian Sea to the east. In order to appreciate the good form it is convenient to go up to the shrine from where one has a unique overview: In addition to the long sandy bar you can clearly see the lakes of Marinello. To reach them you have to get to the town of Oliver, and from there head north towards Marinello. The car is left at the entrance of the Natural Reserve lakes of Marinello, and then you can take a walk to find their own lonely corner of the beach. Keep in mind the distance, the sand bar has variable size, depending on the currents and seasons, and you can travel up to about 2 km to reach the tip!

Intellect Devourers are a particularly nasty kind of monster from the very early beginnings of D&D. They feed off mental energy, and are quite capable of leaping inside somebody's head, eating their brains, and becoming that person's new brains. They are smart, too. So smart, that somebody YOU know might be an intellect Devourer in disguise! Yes, really. And it could be in your house, too. Just waiting. For you to let down your guard. Any...second...now...

Many stories on both side of the Pyrenees start with "Wilfred the Hairy" (aka "Wilfried I. of Barcelona") Count of Urgell, Cerdanya, Barcelona, Girona, Besalú and Ausona a friend and strong supporter of Holy Roman Emperor Charles II (aka "Charles the Bald").
In the late of the 9th century "Wilfred the Hairy" transferred the County of Besalú to his brother Radulf. At that time Besalú, now a town with a population of neo even 2500, was the important capital of an area that extended onto the Corbières- and Aude-region.
The "Monestir de Sant Pere de Besalú" was founded in 977 as a Benedictian abbey. The consecration of the first church of that abbey took place in 1003. Importance and income of the abbey grew, when the Counties of Besalú and Barcelona got (re) unified in 1111, so that they abbey not only could enlarge and renovate the church, but as we well founded and erected the Hospital de Sant Julia, with it´s impressing portal. Here is one of the capitals of that portal. I have no idea, what this meant to the sick and poor entering the hospital. Hell, with all the devouring beasts seem to wait for the hollow-eyed patient.
"Fading Away"- Demon Hunter
It’s in this wake that I find myself
Losing the will to resume this Hell
When every breath is a dying wish
It’s harder to follow the point of this
This broken place that I call my home
Has deepened the sorrow that I have sown
And I can’t erase what is in my heart
I want it to finish before it starts
My own solution insufficient again
No false illusion, this devouring threat
I break the vessel, giving air to its red
And open my fate to the darkened sky
I’ve been fading away
I’ve been waiting on the call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waste
Every sorrow of the soul will read my name
When I cease to exist
So now I’ve come to the final sleep
I pray that forgiveness is mine to keep
I know it’s hard to forget this man
Driving the failure into your hands
My own solution insufficient again
No false illusion, this devouring threat
I break the vessel, giving air to its red
And open my fate to the darkened sky
I’ve been fading away
I’ve been waiting on the call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waste
Every sorrow of the soul will read my name
When I cease to exist
I’ve been fading away
I’ve been waiting on the call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waste
Every sorrow of the soul will read my name
When I cease to exist
I’ve been fading away
I’ve been waiting on the call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waste
Every sorrow of the soul will read my name
When I cease to exist
I used a texture from Haeretik for my background.

Maraboe
(Leptoptilos crumeniferus)
The marabou stork (Leptoptilos crumenifer) is a large wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. It breeds in Africa south of the Sahara, in both wet and arid habitats, often near human habitation, especially landfill sites. It is sometimes called the "undertaker bird" due to its shape from behind: cloak-like wings and back, skinny white legs, and sometimes a large white mass of "hair".
The name marabou is thought to be derived from the Arabic word murābit meaning quiet or hermit-like. The species was originally described in the stork genus Ciconia as Ciconia crumenifera by Lesson. The species was moved into the genus Leptoptilos and the ending was modified to crumeniferus and used by many authors until it was noted that the correct masculine ending to match the genus is crumenifer.
The marabou stork is a massive bird: large specimens are thought to reach a height of 152 cm (60 in) and a weight of 9 kg (20 lb). A wingspan of 3.7 m (12 ft) was accepted by Fisher and Peterson, who ranked the species as having the largest wing-spread of any living bird. Even higher measurements of up to 4.06 m (13.3 ft) have been reported, although no measurement over 3.20 m (10.5 ft) has been verified. It is often credited with the largest spread of any landbird, to rival the Andean condor; more typically, however, these storks measure 225–287 cm (7–9 ft) across the wings, which is about a foot less than the average Andean condor wingspan and nearly two feet less than the average of the largest albatrosses and pelicans. Typical weight is 4.5–8 kg (9.9–17.6 lb), unusually as low as 4 kg (8.8 lb), and length (from bill to tail) is 120 to 130 cm (47 to 51 in). Females are smaller than males. Bill length can range from 26.4 to 35 cm (10.4 to 13.8 in). Unlike most storks, the three Leptoptilos species fly with the neck retracted like a heron.
The marabou is unmistakable due to its size, bare head and neck, black back, and white underparts. It has a huge bill, a pink gular sac at its throat (crumenifer(us) means "carrier of a pouch for money"), a neck ruff, and black legs and wings. The sexes are alike, but the young bird is browner and has a smaller bill. Full maturity is not reached for up to four years.
Like most storks, the marabou is gregarious and a colonial breeder. In the African dry season (when food is more readily available as the pools shrink), it builds a tree nest in which two or three eggs are laid. It is known to be quite ill-tempered.
It also resembles other storks in that it is not very vocal, but indulges in bill-rattling courtship displays. The throat sac is also used to make various noises at that time.
A number of endoparasites have been identified in wild marabous including Cheilospirura, Echinura and Acuaria nematodes, Amoebotaenia sphenoides (Cestoda) and Dicrocoelium hospes (Trematoda).
The marabou stork is a frequent scavenger, and the naked head and neck are adaptations to this livelihood, as it is with the vultures with which the stork often feeds. In both cases, a feathered head would become rapidly clotted with blood and other substances when the bird's head was inside a large corpse, and the bare head is easier to keep clean. This large and powerful bird eats mainly carrion, scraps and faeces but will opportunistically eat almost any animal matter it can swallow. It occasionally eats other birds including quelea nestlings, pigeons, doves, pelican and cormorant chicks, and even flamingos. During the breeding season, adults scale back on carrion and take mostly small, live prey since nestlings need this kind of food to survive. Common prey at this time may consist of fish, frogs, insects, eggs, small mammals and reptiles such as crocodile hatchlings and eggs, and lizards and snakes. Though known to eat putrid and seemingly inedible foods, these storks may sometimes wash food in water to remove soil.[11] When feeding on carrion, marabou frequently follow vultures, which are better equipped with hooked bills for tearing through carrion meat and may wait for the vultures to cast aside a piece, steal a piece of meat directly from the vulture or wait until the vultures are done. As with vultures, marabou storks perform an important natural function by cleaning areas via their ingestion of carrion and waste. Increasingly, marabous have become dependent on human garbage and hundreds of the huge birds can be found around African dumps or waiting for a hand out in urban areas. Marabous eating human garbage have been seen to devour virtually anything that they can swallow, including shoes and pieces of metal. Marabous conditioned to eating from human sources have been known to lash out when refused food.

As if we talk about moving sands, the bunker is sinking slowly. Or at least it seems that…
25 years ago it was possible to enter through this opening crouching itself slightly and to arrive until the bottom of the bunker, and watching the sea through the wide loopholes. He was simple to imagine warlike scenes.
Nowadays the opening hardly has half meter, and the corridor is more and more low to the bottom. Now it is totally impossible to enter.

I am told this is in response to possible piracy from other larger raptors.
Makes sense as i have even seen Ravens deprive hawks of their prey.

Carnivore is latin, Caro meaning 'meat' or 'flesh' and Vorare meaning 'to devour'...
I like balls.
Specifically, pink ones named Kirby. There's just something refreshing about playing a game that is aimed at younger children with an ultra simplistic design, with a main character that is probably the most overpowered being in the entire Nintendo universe and is capable of devouring the souls of the damned as an energy source.
One of releases on the 3DS was the excellent Robobot game where the main gimmick was that Kirby would jump into a mech suit from time to time and wreck havoc on his enemies. The suit could take on different forms dependent on situation, with my favourite being the jet form.
Well, Good Smile Company announced they were going to release a Robobot suit to go along with the Kirby already out. it was no jet, but it certainly looked neat in the previews, so I figured why the hell not. And, as every good hoarder knows, I went for the deluxe set because it was marginally more expensive but came with a full size Nendoroid Kirby for display with the suit along with the exclusive flight cap piece - I don't think the expression is exclusive to this set.
While the Kirby is fully functional with magnetic arms and legs, it obviously doesn't have all the bells and whistles the full release does.
After about 9 months or so of waiting, my order finally arrived, personally couriered by the vendor no less, and I was able to sit down and crack it open.
I gotta say, she is a beaut.
First off, lets talk the box. Unlike the typical Nendoroid releases, this is under the Nendoroid More series. Secondly, you'll notice there is no window on this box. I don't think this was a cost thing, but rather they opted for a full box so you could get that kick ass artwork to tempt you on the shelf.
You don't really get a sense of how gigantic this figure is until you open the box. I mean, yes, you know because of how big the box is, but what's impressive is how much of the box is filled by this thing. There really isn't a whole lot of empty space. The suit is also made to scale with the Nendoroid and dwarfs Kirby.
Robobattle Armour, I dub thee the Broly of all Nendoroid releases.
While I generally like my figures detailed, when the design is simple I like the figure to reflect that as well. Clearly the armour isn't Gundam levels of details. It's a rotund cheery pink suit with few mechanical details and I think GSC did a fantastic job at bringing the suit into the real world. All the paint apps are very well done, being crisp and clean. Use of metallic colours on the exhaust and drill bits on the shoulders was nice. We even get to take a peek at the inside of the cockpit, which I don't think was ever shown in game (maybe there was some Nintendo concept art?).
Being what it is, the suit isn't exactly what I would call capable of my articulation - it really has pretty much basic articulation, and can't actually stand without the base supporting it. It should be noted that the wrist do move (not the fingers) as do the bronze exhaust pipes on the back. Joints are all friction type which I can see becoming weakened overtime if you overexert them, particularly the ones for the shoulders.
Now, while the suit is cute to look at, where it shines is when you combine it with the actual Kirby itself. This not only gives the poor thing a head, but also the suit is actually more reflective of what it is, not a standalone suit, but an extension of Kirby himself. It's honestly amazing how many posing options are opened up by simply adding on an articulated head, even if the body stays the same.
I think as far as a Kirby fan goes, getting this set is a no brainer. Should you get the deluxe set? In my case, it was an extra $20, and while consolidating to save space would have been a good idea, I worship at the feet of Kirby so MOAR, MOAR, MOAR!
The suit by itself is pretty good, but really isn't a particularly exciting to display on its own, not like the upcoming Rabbit Suit from Mega Man X. This thing was clearly meant for use with Kirby.
So.. what are you waiting for? BUY! BUY! BUY!
