The rhythmic motion and murmured mantras reflect a lifelong practice of faith, embodying Bhutan’s living Buddhist tradition. In un angolo silenzioso di un tempio bhutanese, un’anziana donna fa scorrere il suo rosario accanto a una grande ruota dorata della preghiera. Il movimento ritmico e i mantra sussurrati riflettono una pratica di fede coltivata per tutta la vita, incarnando la viva tradizione buddhista del Bhutan. After she was done with flamingo , of course ... she want us go in another place. So here we are at the train station ... alone just two of us waiting a train who seems to not comming soon. Night was coming and her feet get tired ... so ... this is what happened . Massage for her feet right there on the platform of station. 💕

After going to a meeting in San Francisco I went to the Sutro Bath ruins Park near the Cliff House. Someone drew lines, not to draw a line in the sand, but to express her devotion to a loved one.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, and applied a filter to give the scene a classic look from the intense gold in the original image.

Holy Week in Malaga (Spain), is typical for its thrones in which images of Jesus Christ or the Virgin Mary appear, usually weighing between 3,000 and 4,000 Kg, carried on shoulders.
Sometimes not being in control
is the most beautiful thing in the world.

The road that leads to the Vallejo House in Sonoma is seen here in golden resplendence. It's not exactly the road referenced in the title though. The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion was the first song on the Grateful Dead's first album. The song was an attempt to capture the hippie scene in Haight Ashbury during the summer of love (1967). It invited everyone to "come and join the party every day." Don't ask me why I mention it here.

Cyclamen symbolises the empathetic, devoted heart, and was therefore planted beside old monasteries and churchyards in the countries around the Mediterranean
Today marks the one-year anniversary of my best friend's passing. She was a wonderful mother of four and married to my husband's closest friend. She possessed intelligence, beauty, and a remarkable ability to bring laughter to those around her. There was nothing she wouldn't do for those she loved. Her generosity and kind heart were truly inspiring. Each day without her is a reminder of how much she is missed, and the world feels emptier without her presence. I think of her frequently, and on this day, my heart aches for her children who are left behind. She made a positive impact on this world, and her memory will always live on. I love you, Tracy, and I know countless others feel the same way!
We acquired these two turtle doves and one was placed on her memory tree, while the other remains here on our tree. This serves as a beautiful reminder of our friendship, one that we will always cherish.

In 2009 a statue of a Border Collie dog called Ruswarp (pronounced Russup) was placed on the platform of the refurbished Garsdale Head railway station on the Settle-Carlisle railway line in Cumbria. (It was once in Yorkshire, now in South Lakeland and is also in the Yorkshire Dales National Park).
This commemorative bronze sculpture was funded by public subscription. It was made by sculptor Joel Walker and celebrated the saving of the railway line from closure in 1989. The Friends of the Settle-Carlisle had coordinated that, and their first secretary was Graham Nuttall. He was a keen hillwalker, and his dog Ruswarp signed the petition to save the line with his paw print.
On 20 January 1990, Graham and Ruswarp went missing. He had bought day return tickets from Burnley to Llandrindod Wells to go walking in the Welsh Mountains, but they never returned. A lone walker found Graham's body on 7 April 1990.
The 14-year-old Ruswarp had stayed with Graham for 11 weeks in winter weather; he was so weak that he had to be carried down the mountain. His veterinary fees were paid by the RSPCA, who awarded him their Animal Medallion and Collar for 'vigilance' and Animal Plaque for 'intelligence and courage.'
Ruswarp passed away shortly after Graham Nuttall's funeral.
