Back when I lived in Pittsburgh, I loved going for walks in Frick Park. On snowy days, it was so touching to see the devotion of dog-owners taking their pups for a walk no matter what the weather.
People offering prayers to Lord Ganesha before the immersion process. In spite of all those kioks happening around people were busy worshiping their respective idols. The devotion shown by them was so intense and strong that even i was moved by their prayers and got involved into this whole process. It was great feeling being a part of it.

Here is a portrait from the Ratha Yatra series. During such popular Hindu cultural events 'Sadhus' come from far and wide and spend their time happily beside temples by singing and chanting merrily. Such sights are very beautiful and generate a sense of faith. Taking portrait shots of Sadhus is a cliche practise but extremely enjoying. My previous portrait of a Sadhu shows a contemplative mood that is perhaps melancholic. This sadhu was sitting with a few other sadhus and a few common people, all singing and chanting happily and thoughtfully. After this I will upload a frame that I took of the entire event. I took this one exclusively to capture the mood of this sadhu and common men in the background. I gave an exposure in my camera that will blur the common men and give importance to the Sadhu. I shall be glad to have your opinions about this portrait.

The Queen's 3 handmaidens' had once been princesses in their own Northern European lands, They had been chosen by the Queen, who had them abducted and enslaved by her most trusted captain of one of her slave ships. on her orders. After months of intensive training, all three women had become wiling submissive slaves to their Queen and were skilled the art of fulfilling all of their Queen's desires.
When I arrived home, I ended up crashing in bed for a nap. Felt so good. . . Gumbo cuddled against me purring away. Mr. Grigsby himself slept against my legs, happy to have me home. And, when I awoke, this gorgeous girl was spooning with Mr. Grigsby against my legs. Spent time stroking their soft fur--BaRF results in amazingly healthy fur--encouraging their shared bath, before getting up. Vidalia followed me. I noticed the birdfeeders needed filling, so out I went. One of them had a large crack and weird angle, so I spent time pondering what kind of critter could have done that much damage. Now I know. An errant throw of a jolly ball can do significant harm to any feeder in the way. Vidalia watched me through the window as I scooped out birdseed and filled the feeders. When I came back inside, Vidalia continued to follow me around the house, rubbing against my legs whenever I stopped. Finally, I sat down in my spot on the sofa. Yep, Gumbo and Miss Raven were quick to stake out their territory, but Vidalia didn't care. She plopped down right on top of both of them, purring away, ultimately ignoring the repeated gumming by Gumbo (he wasn't thrilled to share me). Vidalia just can't get enough of me today. I knew Cumin, Gumbo, and Miss Raven would all fight for affection, but I didn't expect an incessant Vidalia. What a joy.

Bush - Letting the Cables Sleep
(as I find, one of the most poetic songs of a life-time both music- and lyrics-wise)
"You in the Dark,
you in the Pain,
you...
on the Run.
Whatever you say, it's alright,
whatever you do, it's all good."

Dear Marlene,
A letter to yourself? Why not give it a try.
Devoted?
Had there ever been a real problem with devotion from your side?
No.
There had just been trouble, numerous problems, with what was to be defined as 'your side'.
Fighting yourself- no game can go tougher.
Missing yourself- a seriously pitiful reality characterized by wallowing in self-pity.
Does the possibility even exist to truly find yourself in someone else?
Not when there's nothing there to find, I assume.
Well, the journey is on and you're on your way.
I wish us luck.
Love xxx,
Marlene
