Something wonderful about Dwarka. I arrived late at night and had endless troubles finding a hotel, and thought I'd arrived in the worst hole in Gujarat - after being spoiled rotten by the Moon Palace hotel in Porbandar - but when I went out the next day, I found the charm of Dwarka; everyone is smiling, everyone is happy, everyone has come to have a good time. Oh, and worship Lord Krishna at the same time, with drums and dancing.

The Jama Masjid, formally known as the Masjid-i Jahān-Numā, is the principle mosque in Old Delhi, and the largest and most famous mosque in India. The Jama Masjid was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1650, and completed in 1656.
The later and more colloquial name, Jama Masjid, refers to the weekly Friday noon congregation prayers of Muslims, Jummah, which are usually done in a mosque, the "congregational mosque" or "Jāma Masjid".
The mosque is built in typical Mughal style with three onion domed roofs, and two lofty minarets. The courtyard of the mosque can hold up to twenty-five thousand worshippers.

Portrait of a devotee separated from her family members worriedly waiting in Bajrang Parishad camp at Gangasagar.....
Each fair (mela) and carnival has its own secrets!
Gangasagar pilgrimage is extremely tough for villagers coming from other states of India. Most of the pilgrims hailed from states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh and Odisha; there were also a good number of them from Assam and Tripura, besides the home state Bengal.
Each year pilgrims were lost/ separated from their family members at the mela ground. In 2015 alone, around 1.5 million people visited Gangasagar and, there have been 64 cases of pilgrims who were separated from their families and could not be reunited. However, 2,000 others who were lost at the carnival were able to find their friends and families with the help of the government and voluntary organisations.
It is very sad to say that those who get lost in the mela ground happen to be the elderly women and men hailing from remote villages of India. It could be true that Gangasagar mela is considered a convenient place to get rid of the elderly and the ailing, who have become a burden to their family. Helpless, bewildered people, wandering around without knowing who to turn to, is a common sight here.
Those who get lost are taken to the camp of the Bajrang Parishad, a non-government organisation (NGO) with 150 dedicated volunteers which works with the district administration to help lost people get back to their families. They have been successful in reuniting most of the people. The pilgrims who are still missing are being brought to Kolkata and from here Bajrang Parishad will try to reunite them with their families with the help of different state and district administrations.

Divine Mother was happy to open Her doors at Shree Peetha Nilaya to all devotees for the annual Maha-Lakshmi Yajna weekend. We spent two full days praising Divine Mother with yajna, abhishekam, and many bhajans in the presence of Paramahamsa Vishwananda. At its conclusion, Gurudev reminded us of Maha-Lakshmi’s constant place at the Supreme Lord’s Feet, where She looks both at Him and at the devotees, and presses out His grace for the benefit of us all.

Photo Taken in "Krishna Peace Village" at Woodstock Festival
Woodstock 2011– XVII Open Air Free Rock Festival organized by Jurek Owsiak’s Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity foundation in Kostrzyn nad Odra / Poland. It is third time I have enjoyed myself on this event. This year a set of bands including Riverside, Dog eat Dog, Halloween, Gentleman, Prodigy have gathered estimated 700 thousands of people. That’s a crowd. It was difficult to move around the area, but atmosphere hasn’t changed. Overwhelming chill out and relax are still the main hallmarks of this event.
