Picked up a couple growlers.

About the Subject: The devil himself. It must have taken a twisted mind to carve this one out using different types of pumpkins.

About this picture: This shot was taken during the world pumpkin exhibition at one of the gardens of the Ludwigsburg castle. Taken in cloudy conditions. Therefore, it needed some exposure and color tone adjustments during post processing.

Don't go out on Devil's Night.

Stay in your bed and keep on the light.

Little demons and ghouls have their fun all right,

outside on the streets this Devil's Night.

You don't want to know what mischief they cause.

On Halloween Eve they run without pause,

flying and laughing, and breaking the laws,

you really don't want to see the mischief they've caused.

Please heed my words, stay under the covers,

and tell your friends and your sisters, and of course your brothers.

Stay in bed, don't even peek through the shutters,

'cause a goblin or ghost may spook you to stutters.

Just wait until daybreak on Halloween Day,

when you know all the ghouls and ghosts are away.

They hate the daylight, "it's no fun," they say.

So just please, please wait to Trick or Treat on Halloween Day.

To draw attention to the plight of the Tasmanian devil I am going to be making a work a day throughout October inspired by Tasmanian Devils.

Tasmanian Devils population has declined by 90% in large areas of Tasmania due to Devil facial tumor disease. In November I will be taking part in the Garmin Point to Pinnacle; a 21.4km long and just over 1,270 meters in elevation run up Tasmania's Mount Wellington to raise money for The Devil Island Project (www.savethetasmaniandevil.org.au/) If you would like to sponsor me you can at this link> garmin-point

Devils stone sculpture at the side of St.Mary church in Lübeck.

"When the first stones of St.Mary were laid the devil believed this building would be a wine bar. He liked the idea, because many souls had already found their way to him after frequently visiting such a place. So he mixed with the crowd and started to help the workers. No wonder that the building grew higher and higher amazingly fast. But one day the devil had to realise what the building would really be. Full of anger he grabbed a huge boulder to smash the walls that were already standing. He was just flying near through the air when a bold fellow shouted at him: Just stop it, Mr. Devil! Leave what has already been erected! For you we will build a wine bar just here in the neighbourhoood! The devil was very pleased with this idea. He dropped the boulder beside the wall, where it is lying untis this day. On can still see the devil's claws on the stone. And just opposite the church the workers built the wine cellar of the Town Hall.

The devil's fork, Radio and TV antenna on the Mont-Royal. There is an interesting dichotomy between this structure and the other one on the mountain, the giant cross.

Mont-Royal, Montréal, QC, Canada

The story goes that long ago an old woman's cow wandered acros the river, and she wondered how she would ever get the beast back. The devil heard of her predicament and promised that he would build a bridge across the river if the old woman promised that he would get to keep the first living thing to cross the bridge. She agreed, and the devil built a bridge overnight. Well, the old woman was clever; she tossed a loaf of bread across the bridge and her faithful dog dashed across to fetch it. The devil was furious; he had no need of the dog, it was the old woman's soul he was after! He disappeared in a rage. There are now three bridges, stacked one above the other, but the lowest and oldest bridge is said to have been the one built by the devil himself!

In reality the first bridge was built 1075 - 1200 (some reports state in was built by Monks, dated as early as the 800s), and was followed by a second bridge, built on top of the first, about 1753. Finally, an iron bridge was built atop both earlier bridges in 1901.

When He created a little devil, like any proud mom the good Lord exclaimed "Darling little devil !!".And yes, this was long long ago, when the devil was a tiny tot and amused God with his endless pranks on the good little angels. He would steal their halos while they slept and prance around with the halos hung on his little horns. And then one day as he grew up,,like any harassed mom the good Lord exclaimed "The devil !!" :D.The good little devil is approximately 6 inches.
