The abbey church
It was built in small, medium and large device with local materials, stone lower Kimmeridgian size, on a slope. The building, in its current state, has a nave of six bays, barrel-vaulted and flanked by two aisles, a transept topped by a square tower which includes a cupola on drum, two cross one of which, that of north, is still lined with two apses, and finally a large choir of three bays, arched ribs, strong off-axis and terminated by a flat bed.
The set dates from the twelfth century; the choir itself dates from the fifteenth century and retains older parts. These remains are used to restore the original plan beyond the transept crossing: the chorus, ending in a semicircular apse was flanked by four chapels, including the two largest were preceded by a rectangular span. w.p.
via Instagram ift.tt/2ae0See — No automatic paying device (for parking, grocery stores, etc.) that I have used has been designed with the interface/interaction/experience in mind. When I use them and struggle, the story for their construction that comes to mind goes something like "Hey, we need to accept cash, cards, and then provide change and a ticket... Find those parts and put a shell around it... Oh, it also needs some sort of touchscreen, here's a cheap one to order and connect too... Oh, the card swipe has to be on the opposite side since we just bought random parts, that's fine, it'll still work..." #designcomplaints
DISTINCTIVE UNIT INSIGNIA 108th Div: A gold color metal and enamel device with red flame centered in front of two crossed gold muskets behind which are two white targets with black bulls’-eyes side by side each flanked on the outer side by a gold caltrap; issuant from behind the targets at upper center two gold cannon muzzles pointing up and out and all superimposed upon a base of golden rays and supported by a semi-circular scroll bearing the motto “Princeps Exercendo” in red letters.
Symbolism: The colors scarlet and gold are suggested by the Division shoulder sleeve insignia. The flaming torch represents the imparting of knowledge and the targets symbolize the practical application of it. The weapons and rays signify the unit’s military readiness. The motto translates to “First In Training,”
Background: The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the noncolor bearing units of the 108th Division (Training) on 29 November 1968. It was amended to correct the description on 26 December 1968. The insignia was redesignated effective 16 September 2008, for the 108th Training Command with the description and symbolism updated.
The Comedone suction device is an all-round device that works miracles for all skin problems. The vacuum suction painlessly sucks out and removes out all the blackheads, dirt and oil and all the dry and dead skin cells.

This device, used in conjunction with my traveling companion's (aka, my husband's) plasma propulsion device, allows us to move both forward and backward in time. It can also be used to travel to a parallel universe, but for now, we like the universe we're in.
It also looks all cool and flashy and the whirligig goes around in a circle and the lights on the side blink, too!

IdemoLab, DELTA joined forces with KEA's Jewellery Design program and Wearable Technologies in collaboration to create 'Meaningful Jewellery' for their wearable technology project, and to host the Wearable Tech Global Picnic.
At the event "Jewellery of Tomorrow", KEA students from all semesters exhibited their projects (Meaningful Jewellery, Mixed Media, and Portfolio). The Meaningful Jewellery Devices class was part of a collaboration between Vanessa Julia Carpenter of IdemoLab, DELTA and Petra Ahde-Deal of KEA. Vanessa is exploring the Design of Meaningful Smart Devices and introduced to the class how to work with hardware and think about creating non-screen, tangible, embedded interactive devices which create value and are meaningful in people's lives.
In the coming decade, wearable technology will touch nearly every aspect of our lives. The jewellery students from KEA shared their 8-week journey in creating meaningful jewellery devices and their functional prototypes. Understanding the functionalities of different sensors and using the knowledge of design thinking and user experience, the functional jewellery prototypes are the nexus of design, innovation, imagination and function.
As it turns out, the alien listening device does not work in the rain. I'm not sure if this was broken forever or that the antennas just temporarily retracted when it started raining. You would have expected with all that alien technology, it would automatically open up a little umbrella. But perhaps it never rains on the alien world.

There are devices available for preventing camels from destroying rock holes like this. One is a large strong tripod erected over the hole that prevents the feral pests from drinking all the water. They can empty a hole with one drink. A 100 litres can be drunk by one thirsty animal at one visit!
The camel and the fence would certainly spoil the view and a photo.
