New Year's Day family group picture.
Not everyone could be looking at the camera, but there's always next year!
Pentax K-1 with 28mm lens.
Two AF540FGZ flashes pointed up to the ceiling to give light across the room. Some lens flare veiled the left hand side of the frame and had to be controlled with gradients.
Also, lens distortion needed to be corrected to manage the perspective changes and ensure that people looked proportional.
I took a few pictures of this device -- a Nineteenth Century device for tracking employees arrival and departure times.
Inside there is a drum, which would have a chart attached. The drum rotates slowly. Employees set the dial to point to their employee number, and press a bar and this impresses a dot or a hole in their row of the employee time record chart.
You can see the drum here.

These are known as “third countries” and may not have data protection laws that are as strong as those in the UK and/or the EEA. This means that we will take additional steps in order to ensure that your personal data is treated just as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under the Data Protection Legislation as follows:
We may share your data with external third parties, as detailed below in Part 10, that are based outside of the EEA. The following safeguards are applied to such transfers:

How Can I Control My Personal Data?
In addition to your rights under the Data Protection Legislation, set out in Part 5, when you submit personal data via Our Site, you may be given options to restrict our use of your personal data. Daniel Vais, Artistic Director of Culture Device, and his dancers perform new choreography inspired by Kenneth MacMillan’s ballet The Rite of Spring. The Rite is performed by Culture Device dancers and special guests including Leanne Cope and Zenaida Yanowsky, both former dancers of The Royal Ballet.
Working closely with David Pickering, The Royal Ballet’s Learning and Participation Creative Associate, Vais and the dancers explored ballet technique and the creative influences of MacMillan’s 1962 work, which itself drew on the ballet created by Vaslav Nijinsky for Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes in 1913, set to Stravinsky’s famous score.
The Rite was performed with another new work, L’après midi d’un faune, inspired by Nijinsky’s 1912 ballet of the same name.

Roughly around 325,000 homes across the US are broken into every year, usually in plain view. Altogether there are about 2.5 million burglaries reported and 66% of those are in homes. Most break-ins happen during the day when people are most likely to be out and about.
There are certain things you can do to protect your home in order not to become a statistic. We’ve rounded up 4 tips to protect your home, your family, and belongings better.
Keep valuables out of sight
It’s not difficult for anyone to just walk up and take a peek through one of your windows and see what you have lying around if you don’t have thick curtains or forgot to close them on your way out. While some items are not really meant to be moved around, like a TV screen, others are easier to move and keep out of view. Laptops, mobiles, all other small devices, purses, and wallets can all be put away when you’re out of the house. Even if your purse or wallet is actually empty and the mobile is old, a burglar wouldn’t know that, and it would just be too tempting in their eyes.
Wire up
It doesn’t matter if you live in a building, a house, or own a shop or any other business, you can use a security system to put your mind at ease. If moving into a new home or looking to sell your old one that’s a good time for when to get a wired security system. Having a wired system can increase the cost of your home when selling, and may also have custom made options that wireless security systems do not always offer.
Don’t provide hiding places
Your landscape, tall trees, and bushes are lovely to sit near and under. They provide nice shade on hot days but they also provide more opportunity for thieves and the likes to hide in. Keep shrubs and trees trimmed, at least trimmed enough that they do not block windows. Besides that, don’t leave items outside. Many people will leave a ladder outside after doing some roof repair, for example. This is inviting a would-be thief to the upper floors of a house where windows might be often unlocked.
Change locks when necessary
Anytime you or someone else loses a key to the house, change the lock. You can never be sure if the key was actually lost or if someone got their hands on it, giving them more than easy access to your home. If you rent out a home, it’s also recommended to change locks after a tenant leaves.
You can never be too safe
There really is no such thing as being too safe when it comes to protecting your home. Be an alert homeowner and find out more ways to protect your property. Always keep all doors, windows and the garage locked. You can ask someone you trust to keep a watchful eye if you have to leave home for an extended period. As we say, better to be safe than sorry.

In this project, I designed a programable tactile stimulation device to work in an MRI. This device increases the ability of groups to provide precise, replicable stimulus to the body. I was able to study brain chemistry, MRI physics, coding, and the nervous system anatomy. In particular, the Brachial Plexus, a nerve bundle controlling the arm. This plexus is often injured in childbirth, however those injured this way rarely experience long term differences in mobility. However those injured in adult hood certainly do even given similar healing times. Further noted are differences in brain physiology. Those recovered from BPBI experience brain activation with both sides of the brain as opposed to the opposite side like most individuals. The overall goal of the project is to study the brain of these individuals by simulating the skin of these individuals.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

The Space Shuttle Endeavour rests atop NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft in the Mate-Demate Device (MDD) at the Dryden Flight Research Facility (later redesignated the Armstrong Flight Research Center), Edwards, Calif., shortly before being ferried back to the Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Endeavour landed at 1:57 p.m. (PDT) May 16, 1992, marking the completion of the new orbiter's first mission in space during which the crew of seven rendezvoused with the Intelsat VI satellite, attached a booster motor, and redeployed it into a high geosynchronous orbit. Endeavour and its crew were launched on a planned 7-day mission 7 May 1992, but the landing was delayed two days to allow extra time to rescue Intelsat and complete space station assembly techniques originally planned.

Time Shifts - Personal Time Keeping Device:
13 Moon Time is a passive performance of a personal time keeping device created to make myself - and others - more connected to the harmonic frequency of natural cycles.
The wearable device serves the dual function of 1) being a constant reminder of the galactic signature for each day, and 2) visually interesting others to ask about the device, thereby sparking a chain reaction of introduction to the 13 Moon system.
The inspiration for the piece is the 13 Moon / 28 Day Dreamspell Calendar developed by José Argüelles and the Foundation for the Law of Time, based on the Mayan calendar.
