Immigrating to the United States on her 21st birthday, Hilary Sandy has spent her life giving back. After 24 years in the army, Hilary Sandy took advantage of every educational opportunity she could. Though she has had a plethora of careers, her biggest passion is helping others, especially other service members, which she continues to do through the American Red Cross. She has seen the real impact of SAF, as both a service member and volunteer. "I had a buddy that was mobilized whose family member died. We came, got them informed them, helped them get out to go to their family member". She believes, "when you give to the Red Cross, you're giving more than just to that office or that community, you're part of a bigger international family of giving, of serving, of just doing right and giving back to the world. You might be one person, but you're part of a big picture and a bigger family." Photo by Roy Cox/American Red Cross

Key Mountain Partnership members directly involved in Rio+20 met in Rome from 27-29 February 2012 to identify mountain assets for a sustainable future. When it comes to green growth and sustainable development, two themes at the heart of the Rio+20 discussions, participants agreed that mountains provide a portfolio of opportunities: clean energy, sustainable forest management, sustainable tourism, responsible industrial development and climate-smart agriculture, including promotion of natural products. The outcome of these meetings will inspire the new five-year strategy of the Mountain Partnership that will be shared with all Members soon.

A long-awaited piece arrived today for my Crestron dev kit. I picked up the portable rack at the Joplin hamfest for super-cheap, but it's not big enough for all my processors. Now that the QM-RMC's in I can start feeding the automation side of my brain a couple nights a week.

Or does everyone on Safari see different mail icons in the new Flickr Gamma? I don't see the same icons in Firefox. Interesting bug, perhaps?
Seems there are a lot of quirks with Safari. Figures...
As I have ranted on other postings already today, is it really that hard to align the "search" label next to the search box in Safari? ;-)

New development in San Antonio, Texas.
I've got strong feelings when it comes to development, and it has to do with development improving on quality, not quantity. These feelings don't tend to win many friends in capitalism but they sure make sense when it comes to sustaining a large population for a "long time".
