Leadership Development Center 2018 (LDC) at Redwood Glen. Planned by youth, for youth to the practice and renew their CPR and first aid, participating in leadership empowerment, teambuilding workshops, dancing, singing, and bonding all toward the goal of being more informed, skilled and compassionate Humanitarians. Preparing the Future American Red Cross to be successful: instructors, disaster responders, blood donations volunteers, fundraisers, and preparedness experts.

I today inaugurated various development projects in Talwandi Sabo including irrigation drain of Bangi on the refinery road, Public Park and newly constructed Bus Stand, Public Park, Tehsil Level Veterinary Hospital and new block of Government Senior Secondary School. I also laid foundation stones of the upgradation project of Bathinda-Talwandi-Rori Road and distributed cheques to 90 beneficiaries of the Shagun Scheme. Development of the state is the singular agenda of SAD-BJP Government and these development initiatives hold testimony of the service of the Government.
The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence and U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy held a graduation April 3 in the Academy’s Cooper Lecture Center for the Spouse Leadership Development Course Class 69-007. The 18 graduates attended classes totaling 42 hours of instruction.

During a high level interaction with a South Korean delegation which was presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, I also offered South Korean investors fixed power rates for a ten year period and assured that Punjab would provide the cheapest power among all states in the country, to new investors for which a policy was being firmed up.
Grateful to South Korean Ambassador Joon Gyu Lee who brought in a high powered delegation where Samsung company also expressed keen interest in setting up units focussed on biometrics and electronics production.
Day 2 of LDC. Participants learned teamwork and trust while having fun working together, learning a dance routine, stacking plastic cups, and hitting beach balls back and forth as they progressed across a field. They learned about the blood donation process and created posters illustrating the need for blood and its importance. They learned to assemble sleeping cots that are used in Red Cross shelters and how to put them away.

Developing the brief, I produced a repeat pattern of the graphic pylons. This was then screen printed onto a silk. The silk fabric was firstly dip dyed, observing the slight colour changes in the natural environment, Silk is a luxurious soft fabric and accentuated the strong contrast between natural and industrial. A further development, was to illustrate the textile being used as underwear, although delicate and pretty the graphic is contradictory and strong.
