I had a huge struggle with this picture. I edited it (this one) and I couldn't decide between this and the SOOC one. It was a struggle. The biggest decision that I've had to make in like the last few months. But obviously this one won.

But the SOOC one's still pretty cool.

Even though it's technically not SOOC.

Cause this is a panorama.

And I can't do panoramas in-camera.

Obviously.

That's why there are two lens flares.

YAY FOR TWO FLARES

I'm gonna go to bed now so I can wake up in 5 hours and go fly to Pittsburgh.

(by the way, it says that this photo was taken in Happy Valley, NM... there's not much that's happy about it. Seriously.)

Our site has everything–even a slope of clean August snow! This makes cooking dinner a little easier: rather than walk down to our water source and pump water through our filter, we just scoop up pots of snow to boil for our dehydrated dinners.

The Desolation Wilderness is just west of lake Tahoe. It was some of the most beautiful scenery i have ever seen. The terrain is quite uneven through out most of the trail.
